Responsibilities

From Hope-to-Hope
program focuses on supporting Unaccompanied Children (UC) and their sponsors through a national initiative in collaboration with the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR). This program provides two critical services designed to ensure the safety, stability, and long-term success of these children and their families. The first component, Home Study (HS), involves evaluating the safety and suitability of potential sponsors before a minor is discharged from ORR care. HS workers conduct detailed assessments, including interviews with both the sponsor and the child, home inspections, and evaluations of the sponsor's ability to provide a safe, stable environment. These findings are compiled into a comprehensive report submitted to ORR, which informs decisions about the minor's placement. The second component, Post-Release Services (PRS), offers continued support to UCs and their sponsors after reunification. PRS caseworkers help families connect with essential resources, such as legal representation, healthcare, mental health services, educational opportunities, and community programs. They also monitor the well-being of the child, ensuring their safety and that sponsors meet their responsibilities.
About the Role:
The PRS Level 1 & 2 Supervisor oversees the delivery of PRS to UC's and their sponsors nationwide. A key responsibility is the review and oversight of case documentation and reports prepared by caseworkers. These reports are critical in ensuring accurate communication with ORR, directly impacting decisions about the safety and well-being of the children and families served. The Supervisor ensures all reports meet high standards of quality and compliance, providing guidance to caseworkers as needed. The Supervisor also leads a team of PRS caseworkers who connect UC and sponsors with vital resources such as legal support, healthcare, education, and social services. They monitor case progress, address barriers, and ensure services align with ORR policies and meet family needs.

Supervisors provide after-hours support during emergencies, participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, and work closely with the Program Director to achieve program goals. Responsibilities

About the Role
The per diem psychiatrist will be responsible for providing psychiatric services, assessments and consultation in our Passage of Hope Program to support Unaccompanied Migrant Children in our Basic Shelter, Transitional Foster Home, and Long-Term Foster Care programs.
Responsibilities
* Provide high quality psychiatric services to individuals supported within the programs listed above, following current best practice guidelines for care.
* See individuals at least monthly for medication management. Ensure that all medications are reviewed and renewed as necessary, considering both the efficacy of the medication and the well-being and risks of polypharmacy to the individual.
* Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations with recommendations and complete written reports within 2 business days of evaluation.

The Passage of Hope Program provides transitional residential care and other supportive services to Unaccompanied Children (UC) who are under legal custody of the Federal Government. The (AM) will assist in the coordination and will serve as one of the liaisons between New York Foundling Hospital, The Developmental Disabilities Division, Area Manager, Utility providers, Fire Department, Building Department, State Health Department, OPWDD and others. The (AM) will remain knowledgeable of all codes, standards and practices generated by regulatory agencies having jurisdiction on dwelling especially OPWDD.
Should the dwelling require maintenance, part replacement or maintenance that exceeds the abilities of New York Foundling maintenance team and/or exceeds $1,500.00 value, the AM must contact the appropriate DD area manager responsible for dwelling to obtain approval to proceed with work. The AM must obtain approval in writing from DD. Moreover, before proceeding with work (repair/replacement) expense, must be approved by the Facilities Senior Manager or Facilities Director. All warranty, other relevant information supporting the expense will be forwarded to the Facilities Coordinator or the Facilities Administrator for pre/post activity or warranty reference.
Proactively inspect each dwelling without limits, he/she will be required to complete comprehensive inspections regularly, for each of the dwellings that make up the New York Foundling portfolio. During each inspection the AM will make certain the dwelling is mechanically, structurally sound that all assets, fixtures and mechanical equipment within the dwelling remain fully operational, maintain compliance with all regulatory agencies. At the time of inspection, AM will document any and all deficiencies. Each deficiency will be recorded electronically, using New York Foundling Hospital approved work order program (Faciltiy4you) so that each deficiency has a unique individual record.
Responsible to oversee all repair, maintenance activity completed within these dwellings to ensure work is completed and meets or exceeds industry standards.
Qualifications
3 to 5 years of facility management experience, managing buildings & grounds both residential and commercial properties. Proven ability to manage people, process and procedure across a wide geographic operating area, which is currently defined as the Tri State NY area. Must be able to read blueprints, floor plans MPEs
Experience must include proven ability to manage operational budget.
Experience in maintenance and management of high/Low pressure Boilers, circulator pumps, motors, high and low voltage systems. Must be familiar with various operating systems which include but are not limited to Work Orders, BMS Building Management, Space Management, Asset Management, Contract Management, Perpetual Inventory and employee truck stock.

The Plus Mentoring program is designed to help juvenile clients make safe decisions and avoid further involvement in the juvenile justice system. The Plus Mentoring team works along with the Department of Probation to provide an alternative to detention group program for high risk youth, ages 13-18 in Brooklyn, and in the Bronx.
The Plus Mentoring team is a group-based mentoring program that helps young adults transform the attitudes and behaviors that led to their involvement with the criminal justice system by developing positive and appropriate relationships and supporting them in making safe decisions in the community. The team is made up of a full-time Program Coordinator and 3 part-time Credible Messenger Mentors. Youth will come together twice weekly as a cohort of up to 16 youth, ages 13-18, with the Plus Mentoring team supporting them. The mentors will utilize the Powersource Curriculum and ROCA Rewire CBT to support the youth to examine their feelings, evaluate their own behaviors and develop strategies for change. Group will also be used for group builders, educational activities, anger reduction strategies, recreational outings, group-based community service activities, and family events to name a few. Youth will also meet with mentors and Program Coordinator on an ad hoc basis throughout the week for one-on-one mentoring as well as for support with case management services.
Responsibilities
* Participate in two therapeutic groups per week in Brooklyn on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM. During this time, the mentors will greet the group participants, prepare for dinner, facilitate group, clean up and process the group/individual progress. Mentors will be available during these hours, and will be available outside of group hours to provide crisis intervention or additional mentoring support to youth, by phone and in person, as needed, for up to 8 hours total per week.
* Participate in as many group team-building and family engagement activities as possible, such as recreational outings, community-service activities, etc. The mentors will be included on a rotating on-call list to provide 24 hours/7days a week support for youth.
* Participate in all Juvenile Justice and Credible Messenger Mentor-related training.
* Participate in individual supervision and treatment team meetings to review youth's progress/challenges and service plan goals.

Work Environment: Groups will be facilitated at the Rising Ground office located at 151 Lawrence Street 5th Floor, Brooklyn NY. On occasion, the mentors will be required to travel, to navigate NYC roads/public transportation system and complete home and school visits, and visits to other service providers' offices (i.e. Court, Probation, resource center, pro-social activity, etc.).
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a per-diem position involving 6-8 hours per week. The mentors that are expected to participate in the Brooklyn groups are to be present every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM.
Additional hours will fluctuate to meet the needs of the team and clients. As a team, we are available to clients 24/7/365 and can respond to crises that may emerge. The per diem mentors might be called upon to respond to a crisis/need of a youth and need to be flexible/available to meet the needs of the group members.
Travel: The Plus team provides services to youth and families who reside in Brooklyn and the Bronx. Typically, the mentors will be positioned at the group site. If field work, home visits or school visits need to be conducted, the mentors will provide their own transportation and work-related travel expenses will be reimbursed.

The Residential Director oversees the operation of seven to eight Individualized Residential Alternatives (IRA), which are group homes for individuals with intellectual disabilities, under the oversight of the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD)
Responsibilities

· Serve as a member of the I/DD Department Senior Leadership Team
