About the Role The Passage of Hope Program provides transitional residential care and other supportive services to Unaccompanied Children (UC) who are under legal custody of the Federal Government. Working in collaboration with the Federal Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), our program provides a safe and nurturing environment for youth in our Basic Shelter and Transitional and Long-Term Foster Care programs located at our licensed residential facilities and foster homes throughout New York City and Westchester County. While in our care we search, assess, and provide connections with family members and/or other potential sponsors in the United States, so they can move forward with their lives and thrive. In all programs, we provide therapeutic and educational services and other support that youth need to achieve success through an array of strength-based and targeted interventions. The Teaching Assistant will assist the Teacher in creating, reviewing, and implementing the academic curriculum in accordance with the NYS State Education guidelines for ages 0 to 17.
What You'll Do
* Will assist the Teacher in the development of all lesson plans and curriculum for all assigned youth in the program. Will ensure that the lesson plans meet the developmental needs of the youth in the program, are in their native language, and provide opportunities for the youth to learn English, Reading, Writing, Math, Science, Physical Education, Social Studies, and Acculturation.
* Will work with the Office of Refugee Resettlement and other governing bodies to ensure that the program meets ORR standards as they relate to the educational needs of the youth supported by the program.
* Will assist in ensuring that youth are provided all specialized, differentiated, and individualized educational and tutorial services in collaboration with supervisors and other program departments.

Will assist in creating and facilitating educational activities in the community as well as hands-on projects that will enhance the lesson plans provided to the UC youth.
* Will maintain inventory of all education supplies and ensure that education program is fully equipped to meet the needs of the youth supported by the program.
* Will facilitate assessments for minors within 72 hours of arrival and every 90 days thereafter.
* Will participate and assist in the implementation of ongoing committees, professional development opportunities, and trainings to enhance educational practices and meet agency compliance needs.
Your Qualifications

* One year of classroom teaching field experience providing academic services to youth who present behavioral, educational, and emotional challenges is required.
* Bachelor's degree in education or related field is preferred.
* Pathway and progression towards classroom teaching certificate titles according to NYS Department of Education (Teaching Assistant Level I or higher Certificate) is preferred.
* Pathway and progression towards credentials to teach Bilingual Education, ESOL, or ENL classes to support English Language Learners (ELL) is preferred.
* Pathway to a master's degree in education or related field is preferred.

About the Role The Home Study Case Worker plays a critical role in evaluating a potential sponsor's ability to provide a safe, stable, and supportive environment for an unaccompanied child prior to reunification. This includes conducting in-depth, trauma-informed home visits; verifying information gathered by the care provider; and assessing all potential risks, protective factors, and support needs. The HS Case Worker collaborates closely with the HS Supervisor and relevant stakeholders including the care provider's case manager and clinician, the sponsor, and, when necessary, family members of the sponsor or minor to ensure the child's safety and well-being. Home Study services are provided throughout the New York City tri-state area and nationally. This role requires frequent travel across states and may include overnight stays to complete in-person assessments as needed.
What You'll Do
* Initiate contact with the referring care provider (e.g., case manager, clinician) upon case activation to review the child's background and coordinate information-sharing
* Review the child's history to guide a trauma-responsive approach and ensure age-appropriate, culturally sensitive engagement throughout the assessment process.
* • Provide Home Study services by conducting in-home assessments and interviews with sponsors and household members to evaluate safety, caregiver capacity, and readiness for reunification.
* • Identify and flag any red Flags or safety concerns (e.g., abuse, neglect, trafficking, special needs, or risk of exploitation) and maintain high-level communication with the HS Supervisor to discuss concerns, timelines, or case support needs.
* • Educate sponsors on reunification responsibilities, including providing a safe and stable home, supporting access to education and healthcare, complying with immigration obligations, and fulfilling the Sponsor Care Agreement. Ensure sponsors are informed of the child's rights, including the right to attend school, be protected from abuse or neglect, and access essential services.
* Submit high-quality Home Study reports within 10 calendar days of referral acceptance, ensuring accuracy, objectivity, and alignment with ORR and agency standards.
* Routinely audit and maintain accurate Home Study case Diles (physical and electronic), ensuring all required documents are complete. Close out cases in accordance with ORR and program guidelines, including timely updates to the UC Portal and internal trackers.
* Report any suspected abuse, neglect, or trafficking in accordance with state-specific mandated reporting laws and ORR procedures.
* Be available and Flexible to accommodate evening, after-hours, and weekend work as needed to meet case deadlines and report requirements.
* Complete all required ORR and agency trainings and remain current on child welfare policies, best practices, and program protocols
* Participate in regular supervision, case staffing, and team meetings, both virtually and in person.
* Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to maintain clear, consistent, and timely communication with supervisors. Given the fast-paced nature of the program, strong communication is essential to ensure alignment of priorities, deadlines, and case needs

Administrative
The Residence Manager has the responsibility to manage all aspects of the residence. Standards and expectations:
Complete, monitor and review all documentation in accordance with Foundling, Federal and State policies and procedures
Oversee the completion of all documentation by DSPs and other related staff, e.g., Residential Habilitation Specialist, Nursing, Facilities, Behavior Intervention Specialist, Dietary

Complete and ensure accuracy of all required documentations e.g. Audit Book, incident reports and investigations, people supported case records, behavior logs, service entries, MARs, fire drill forms, emergency preparedness drills and safety checklist
Track and report occurrences, falls and other incidents
Read and share information in communication books
Conduct monthly DSP meetings for training and informational purposes; conduct formal supervision sessions and professional development with all DSPs at least monthly; informally when needed
Ensure staff training compliance per OPWDD regulations and NYF policies
Assign work responsibilities to DSPs and fill in when necessary
Conduct announced and unannounced visits on all shifts
Encourage and facilitate self-advocacy for all people supported
Responsible to fill any person supported vacancy
Ensure the physical plant is free of risk inside and out; report issues for repair or redesign as needed
Ensure all required documentation is complete
Ensure vehicle documentation and maintenance are up to date

Position Overview:
The Manager of Clinical Services reports to the VP of Clinical, Case Management and Educational Services and is responsible to Oversee the Clinical Services of the program to ensure compliance in all ORR policies, procedures and reunification expectations always incorporating best practices of effectiveness and quality.

The Fatherhood Peer Mentor will serve as a positive role model and guide for fathers working to rebuild, strengthen, or maintain healthy relationships with their children. Drawing from lived experience-such as separation, supervised visitation, or family reunification-the mentor provides support, encouragement, and practical tools that empower fathers to grow as parents and community members.
Responsibilities
The Fatherhood Peer Mentor will serve as a positive role model and guide for fathers working to rebuild, strengthen, or maintain healthy relationships with their children. Drawing from lived experience-such as separation, supervised visitation, or family reunification-the mentor provides support, encouragement, and practical tools that empower fathers to grow as parents and community members.
Core Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one weekly and group mentor ship to help fathers enhance parenting and co-parenting skills (as needed). Support fathers in identifying goals and creating action plans for family and personal development. Achieve 50%, each quarter , of fathers reporting improved parenting confidence and communication skills (via pre/post surveys).
Attend community outreach events to recruit fathers and connect them to program services. Develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations and agencies. Represent the program in 2+ community meetings, fairs, and outreach events per month.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of community resources (employment, housing, legal aid, mental health, etc.).Provide information, referrals, and advocacy to fathers to help achieve identified goals. Follow up to ensure successful resource connections. Update and share with fathers resource directory quarterly.

Complete 100% documentation, data entry, and progress notes for all participant interactions. Track father engagement and outcome metrics as per the program KPI and goals.
Participate in training, supervision, and coaching. Support team initiatives such as events, outreach, and strategic planning. Contribute to ongoing improvement of program services to help achieve KPI and goals.
Respond to email correspondences in a timely manner and maintain family confidentiality.

Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Demonstrated lived experience as a father who has faced and overcome challenges such as family separation, supervised visitation, or co-parenting barriers.
Minimum 1 year of experience providing mentorship, peer support, or community outreach (formal or informal settings).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport. Empathy, patience, and cultural sensitivity when working with diverse fathers and families.
Ability to facilitate group discussions and model effective parenting behaviors.
Organizational and time-management skills to meet program goals and documentation requirements.
Knowledge of local community resources and willingness to build new connections.
Working knowledge of email, data entry, virtual meetings, Microsoft Office .
