Payroll Operations

System Administration

Maintain confidentiality and data security standards for all payroll-related information.
Collaborate with HRIS and Finance to enhance automation, accuracy, and reporting.
Audits & Reporting
Prepare and reconcile payroll reports, audit trails, and work with Accounting and ADP on funding files.
Partner with internal and external auditors to support quarterly and annual reviews/audits.
Maintain and improve internal controls, ensuring data integrity and audit readiness.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
Supervise, train, and develop the Payroll Specialist, ensuring accurate processing and professional growth.
Partner closely with HR, Benefits, and Finance/Accounting leaders to improve employee experience and operational efficiency.
Serve as subject matter expert and escalation point for payroll-related questions or discrepancies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years of payroll processing experience, with at least 3 years in management or lead role.
Strong working knowledge of Workday Payroll and ADP SmartCompliance.
Experience managing multi-state payroll and complex tax compliance.
Strong analytical and reconciliation skills; proficiency in Excel and payroll reporting.
In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, labor laws, taxation and statutory compliance.
Experience in handling payroll audits, and tax compliance related issues.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, human resources or a related field.
Relevant professional certification in payroll management, such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP).
