The Role of the Classroom Learning Assistant

A Classroom Learning Assistant serves as an advocate for the needs of the diverse learning population. The learning assistant supports a classroom and works alongside a teacher to ensure that both the social-emotional and academic needs of each student are being met. Classroom learning assistants will receive support and coaching similar to teachers and will have the opportunity to be considered for support and tuition reimbursement to become full-time special education teachers.

This person will:

• Assist teacher in implementing lesson plans in a classroom by providing positive learning experiences, including large or small group instruction and one-on-one support
• Prepare materials and resources for use in the classroom that support students’ learning goals
• Assist with the maintenance of records of student needs, instructional programs, student progress, preparation of forms, organizing and maintaining files

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required
• Paraprofessional license or substitute teaching license preferred

The Simulation and eLearning Assistant performs the operations of medical simulation technology, including maintenance of technology, manikins, audiovisual and moulage components. Responsible for working with the Learning Management System (LMS), including assignment of eLearning, registration, database management, problem resolution and reporting.
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a medical or information technology field preferred.
LEVEL OF EDUCATION

Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a medical or information technology field.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Preferred: EMT or Information Technology certification

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

Minimum: Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook skills.

Preferred: Working knowledge using remote training tools such as Zoom. Knowledge of how eLearning solutions integrate and function within a Learning Management System (LMS), e.g. Oracle. Experience with Multi-media hardware/software; knowledge of simulation manikin software.

YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE

Preferred: One year of experience working with and administering an integrated learning system. One year experience working with training, instructional design, curriculum design, adult learning principles and measurement strategies as part of an organization. Prior experience in medical simulation technology.

Specific Responsibilities Would Include

Talent & Learning Assistant - Job Description, reports to Senior Director Talent & Learning

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assist Senior Director of Learning and Development with project initiatives, learning communications, class registrations, LinkedIn Learning Administrative functions, Compliance training, e-learning and social learning.
• Supports ongoing annual programs and initiatives tied to Learning, Talent, Leadership and Culture.
• Work with our HR related systems and tools, reporting and analytics.
• Participating in all aspects of the recruiting lifecycle including reviewing job descriptions, creating job postings, screening candidates, scheduling and observing interviews, coordinating department interviews, and hiring candidates.
• Planning, coordinating, and assisting with college related events, career fairs or recruiting events.
• Scheduling interviews with recruiters, hiring managers and candidates.
• Sourcing candidates utilizing our ATS (iCims), LinkedIn and other job sourcing tools.
• Assisting with the marketing and planning of our summer internship and off cycle internship programs.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Detail oriented and organized.

• Enrollment in a 4-year college or university, with a concentration in human resources or related field preferred
