Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and assistance to clients using our LMS platform
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues reported by clients
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of e-learning content, including videos, quizzes, and other interactive materials
- Collaborate with the content team to ensure all materials are accurate and up-to-date
- Conduct quality assurance checks on all e-learning content to ensure functionality and user-friendliness
- Communicate regularly with clients to gather feedback and make necessary updates to the LMS and e-learning materials
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in e-learning and LMS management
- Assist with training and onboarding of new clients on our LMS platform
- Provide excellent customer service and support to all clients, addressing any questions or concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Work closely with the development team to identify and resolve any technical issues or bugs in the LMS platform
Requirements:
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in e-learning development and/or LMS support
- Strong technical skills and proficiency with learning management systems, preferably Moodle or Canvas
- Experience with video editing software and authoring tools, such as Articulate Storyline or Camtasia
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting

Assist with grading student assignments (Faculty are responsible for final grading of student work)
Provide written and verbal feedback on student assignments or activities

Compensation:
The starting salary for this position is $63,200; but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Your impact
Teaching Assistants (TAs) play a critical role in supporting ~25-30 Learners (as part of a larger class) in Correlation One's virtual training programs. During that time, TAs will be expected to provide both synchronous and asynchronous support to Learners, ensuring their learning, comprehension, and retention of program content.

A day in the life
Expectations during live (synchronous) sessions:
Attend and proactively engage in the mandatory Pre-Program TA Onboarding. Dates and times will be announced.
Monitor appropriate Slack channels (#c1-TA, #live-chat, #extra-help, and other relevant channels) for Learner questions and answer them promptly.
Check-in with Learners after each live session by asking how they're feeling about the content, if they have any questions, or if there is anything that they need further clarity.
Facilitate breakout rooms during lecture time, when applicable.
Assist in keeping the session progressing should the Lead Instructor experience technical difficulty or is otherwise unable to deliver the lecture.
Expectations during days of no live sessions:
Monitor appropriate Slack channels for Learner questions and answer them within 24 hours.
Foster discussion by posing questions of your own and sharing relevant links in the #resources channel or in other appropriate Slack channels.
Use the #c1-TA channel to share any important information during a lecture that needs the attention of Correlation One staff or fellow Expert Network staff.
Review content materials (including lab, projects, extended cases, etc..) for the next lecture to ensure you are prepared to answer Learner questions.
Hold up to six (6) Individual Office Hours via Zoom with Learners in the program so they can ask any additional questions or get support as necessary.
Grade Learner submissions of exercises and projects within seven (7) days of submission.
Support continuous program improvement by providing thoughtful feedback to Correlation One team via Weekly Write Ups.
Submit weekly write-ups summarizing the week's accomplishments and challenges and provide insights on each Learner. This is due by Sunday at 8:00pm ET each week.
Attend and participate in the weekly staff meeting with Correlation One team and other Expert Network staff.
Attend all scheduled meetings with your camera on, ensuring active engagement and professional presence.
Your expertise

Terra.do, an online climate change school and community, is hiring instructors to teach Climate Change: Learning for Action, a fully online, part-time, global 12-week climate “bootcamp”. All course elements, including content, assignments, structure of lab sessions, and guest lectures are fully developed/organized. Fellows (i.e. the learners) are highly skilled professionals looking to switch into climate careers or apply a climate lens to their current work. The course is designed to be highly practical, interactive, collaborative and challenging.
Instructors can expect to put in 12-15 hours a week teaching and supporting a group of no more than 30 fellows. For the first cohort, this time commitment could be closer to 15-18 hours a week on average, as you will be absorbing the material for the first time. The course is repeated every ~6 weeks, and instructors, if interested, can stay on long-term teaching the same material, and potentially take on more groups in parallel (for additional compensation) or move into full-time positions.

Responsibilities and expectations
Instructors will support all aspects of student learning including:
Helping fellows understand the materials, assisting fellows with assignments, providing feedback on assignments. Note that you do not need to build or create new content-the course content is fully developed already
Responding to all questions and maintaining active presence on the fellows workspace (we use Slack to respond to all fellows questions and post content related to course material)
Facilitating cross-cohort community-building
Conducting discussion-based “lab groups” once a week on Zoom
Coordinating and sharing learning with other instructors
Keeping close track of fellows progress and individualizing support based on detailed analytics and on your knowledge about the fellows in your class
Meeting 1:1 with fellows for 20-30 min “office hours”
Facilitating one additional 1-hour event over the course of the course and possibly more (for additional compensation at an hourly rate) small group discussions or “deep dives” on areas of personal expertise
Suggesting improvements and updates to all aspects of the course, including content, lab sessions, guest lectures, assignments, cohort interactions, community organization, etc
Attending a 90-minute weekly instructors meeting, which occurs on Thursdays at 8am PT.
Required skills
Experience and skills with online facilitation.
A master's level degree in an interdisciplinary climate/environment program; Ph.D. students and graduates strongly encouraged to apply (or be a graduate of Terra.do's Learning for Action program). Equivalent knowledge/work experience is also accepted in place of degree qualifications. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience/knowledge of climate finance, corporate sustainability, and/or nature-based solutions.
