CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential (or willing to obtain) Must be physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors Must be able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English All center staff applicants must meet state specific guidelines for the role

Position Summary:

As a key member of the Ice Arena team, the Junior Skating instructor is responsible for assisting Skating Instructors in the operation of the Skating School.

Essential Functions:

+ Must be able to lift and carry 25 lbs.

+ Must possess the physical ability to lead and interact in group activities and perform related physical skills as required.

+ Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.

+ Ability to operate, access, and produce information from a desktop or laptop computer.

+ Ability to understand written information.

+ Must be in good physical health and mental health, capable of meeting the demands of the working environment.

+ Must meet and health and safety regulations as defined by the Health Department as well as The Salvation Army.

Working Conditions:

Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis. Ability to be able to lift up to 25lbs. Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinets drawers and reach overhead. Ability to operate computer, fax and telephone.
