In this new business development role, you will be assigned a 'prospect' portfolio of large commercial corporations that are either low spending or have become dormant. You will be responsible for creating and executing a prospecting plan in order to penetrate these target organisations and ultimately convert them into Learning Tree clients. * Create and execute a prospecting strategy in order to win 'new logo' target customers and re-engage dormant accounts.

* Leverage your technology tool kit (such as Sales Navigator, Gong, Copilot) in order to create compelling outreach messaging, that disrupts existing relationships and engages target client stakeholders.
* Generate high 'top of funnel' activity in order to generate sufficient pipeline opportunity in order to exceed quota.
* Identify client needs and work collaboratively to design/develop learning solutions to meet client performance expectations.
* Develop business solutions based on customer needs that effectively articulate and differentiate our products' value proposition.
* Partner with internal resources to develop winning proposals and deliver compelling presentations to win new business.
* Build and maintain an accurate multi-year pipeline of sales opportunities.
* Exceed quotas and taregts associated with the role including activity metrics, specific product sales goals and ultimately quarterly and annual revenue quota.
* Develop an individual development plan to broaden skillsets and deepen knowledge of the position to increase sales performance.
* Identify and qualify large program RFP's within your target prospects and participate in response activity including solution design, writing, and team collaboration.
* Document Sales activity and customer contacts within the Learning Tree provided CRM database.

Professional Experience, Qualification and Skills
* Learning or technology services sales experience required.
* 5-10+ years of outside sales experience in a complex business environment with emphasis on selling training or other intangible services to major commercial corporations, .
* Demonstrable success in a Sales or Business Development role required.
* Experience with new business development and maintaining relationships.
* Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills; strong conceptual and analytical skills.
* Strong customer-centered selling skills.
* Strong business acumen.
* An appetite to build and maintain knowledge of market needs, competition, and industry trends.

This position is based in our Reston, VA office and offers a hybrid work environment
The pay range is $108,900 - $147,300.
The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is noted above, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience. Verisign offers a discretionary bonus which is based on individual and company performance, and certain roles may be eligible for discretionary stock awards.

Minimum qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities
* Drive global operational standards and procedures for electrical maintenance, National Electrical Testing Association (NETA) testing, and commissioning, ensuring system reliability and safety across the data center infrastructure fleet.
* Provide executive technical oversight and direction for power system studies, major infrastructure retrofits, and equipment modification programs.
* Mentor and direct site-level facilities engineers on fault analysis, power system diagnostics, and operational problem-solving within the 24/7 mission-critical infrastructure.
