Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for Lease Operator with a fast-proven record of accomplishments to support operations in Sonora, TX. The Lease Operator is primarily responsible for tracking production and pressures for all wells-on assigned routes, performing general well inspections, maintenance, equipment repairs and replacements, and reporting other maintenance, production, health or safety issues. Candidates must live within a 60 mile radius

Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required

* Perform basic to intermediate level pumping skills which include but not limited to: tank gauging, the proper operation of heater/treaters and 3 phase separators, and all attendant valve and oil seals and seal records
* Work on all types of production equipment, pump valves, treater dump valves, gas regulators, etc. Identify potential problems
* Ensure that their areas of responsibility are in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
* Monitor and record all relevant well information, including production rates, storage of liquids, pressures, temperatures, injection volumes, etc.
* Perform lease operator duties at the well site, oil & gas facilities, and injection & producing pipeline systems in a reliable and efficient manner. Types of facilities include production tank batteries, injection lines, flow lines, water injection plants and CO2 recycle compression facility.

Skills / Qualifications

* Compressor experience a plus
* Must organize and plan daily work schedule. Must be willing to work rotating shifts, weekends,
* Safety sensitive position subject to random drug and alcohol screening
* Valid driver's license and clean record
* Work will require standing, stooping, walking, climbing tank stairs, carrying instruments weighing up to 80 pounds

Department: Production

Summary:

This position is responsible for oil and gas well operations, well testing, operating and maintaining field equipment and facilities, surveillance of general field operations, and maintenance of various databases regarding production and operations. The position applies basic skills to perform routine and complex operations using tools and equipment appropriate for the energy industry. Applies a general understanding of the technical concepts, practices, and procedures, and has a general knowledge of industry standards and government regulations related to the oil and gas industry.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

* Adhere to all safety and environmental policies and procedures
* Gauge production on assigned wells and report gauge readings, downtime, and other pertinent well information to the field office
* Perform lease maintenance such as minor surface pump and production equipment repairs and adjustments; trim weeds, and maintain a clean working environment
* Grease pumping units, service lease equipment, etc. Note problems and/or recommend a course of actions to supervisor in order to decrease costs and increase production
* Assist in witnessing meter calibrations; monitor rates and pressures on injection and disposal wells; make necessary adjustments; monitor chemical use; and test safety systems daily to maximize daily production
* Perform work in a manner that ensures the secure and environmentally safe operation of all wells and leases for which the pumper is responsible
* Provide maintenance and care for the company assigned vehicle
* Willing to work holidays, weekends, and nonscheduled call-outs
* Frequent travel to field locations and training sites

Required Qualifications:

* High School diploma or equivalent
* Minimum (1) year of oilfield experience

OR

Military experience with a rank of E4 or above with relevant technical skills acquired in lieu of oilfield experience

* Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
* Able to meet and maintain the clean driving insurability standard requirements to drive a company vehicle, which means a driving record that is clear of any of serious traffic violations within the past three (3) years. (Other driving record requirements may also apply.)

Preferred Qualifications:

* Self-starter requiring minimal supervision
* Demonstrated ability to perform basic computer skills and to learn company-specific applications
* Familiar with oilfield terminology and operations

*The Lease Operator/Pumper is responsible for well operations, gas lifted wells, ESP's, three phase separation, gas compression, control board operation, pipeline operation, minor maintenance of valve, pumps and rotating equipment and assisting the other operators and craft personnel in their duties.*
*PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *

* *Prepares for and performs maintenance, taking readings, doing rounds, issuing work permits, following procedures, initiating work requests, writing procedures, and interfacing with support groups.*
* *Proactively monitors well and equipment performance, take appropriate action to maximize production.*
* *Works with support groups to optimize chemical pump rates based on production data (corrosion, paraffin, soap injection, etc.).*
* *Interfaces with Engineering for data gathering requests.*
* *Tracks test compression data.*
* *Conducts fluid levels with echo meter. *
* *Provides technical and/or administrative support.*
* *Demonstrates the ability to learn terminology, applications, and standard procedures for performing the job function.*
* *Performs routine, basic office/field tasks using established procedures.*

*WORKING CONDITIONS: *

*Work is normally performed outdoors where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, fumes, and gases is common. Noise level is moderate to loud and includes sounds of construction, equipment operations, and trucks and equipment. Job hazards include working in normal light and heavy construction activities and working around pressured propane, water, electricity, and waste lines and under all weather conditions. May work in areas where H2S is present. Overtime is sometimes required.*

*PHYSICAL DEMANDS: *

*Work normally requires finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination to operate a computer keyboard at a moderate skill level. Work may require frequent pushing, pulling, or carrying 50 to 75-pound objects such as tools, equipment work operations. Work involves standing and walking most of the time but will also involve sitting and driving for extended periods sometimes over rough terrain.*
