Position Overview: The Lease Renewal Agent will be assisting the Lease Renewal Team with the renewal process of over 200 luxury residential condo and co-op buildings throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Overseeing the distribution of 90-60-30-day notices of lease expiration to Unit Owners/shareholders
Collecting and reviewing lease renewal applications, including reviewing lease agreements and all required documentation by REBNY and each condo/ co-op's Board of Managers/Directors
Collecting and tracking all processing fees and building amenity fees connected to tenant’s lease renewal
Tracking, collecting, and billing monthly and annual sublet/leasing fees
Providing comprehensive sublet reports to client properties’ Board of Directors
Tracking and managing leasing restrictions based on each condo/ co-op's By-Laws/Proprietary lease
Inputting fines into unit owner’s accounts for illegal leases, late renewal submission, or non-renewal
Tracking illegal and expired sublets (issuing “must vacate” and expired lease notices to shareholders with tenants residing beyond the allowable co-op sublet term)
Inputting updated lease dates, rent amounts, and occupant's material changes into the BJ Murray System and reviewing Yardi
Communicating with the Board of Directors on the approval or denial of lease renewal applications
Obtaining and informing Unit Owners/ shareholders and tenants of board approval of their renewed lease
Transitioning new properties under our management (creating sublet lists of leased units, creating new renewal applications and notices to be sent to unit owners, back-billing sublet/lease fees not charged by previous management)
Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate or any Business-related field
At least 1 year of Real Estate or Property Management experience relating to condo & coop properties
Must have strong proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office Suite programs
