Job Summary: A Leasing Consultant is responsible for maintaining the occupancy of the property through sound sales and customer service techniques to attract and retain residents. Essential Functions:

Performs lease renewals and monitors lease expirations.
Assists with training of other leasing specialists.
Assists with addressing resident concerns in a respectful and timely manner; submits service orders and escalates to the Property Manager as needed.
Manages the corporate apartment and clubhouse rental processes.
Responsible for a variety of administrative duties to include, key and garage log management, file maintenance, distribution of property newsletters and flyers to residents, weekly report preparation and distribution, and execution of daily office opening/closing procedures.
Assists Property Manager with property events, marketing campaigns and postings.
Conducts all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, Fair
Housing Laws, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other laws pertaining to apartments.
Reasonable and reliable attendance and timeliness when reporting to work and completing work.
Interacts well with others.

Education/Experience/Qualifications:
High School diploma, or equivalent.
Prior customer service, sales or leasing experience.

This full-time position requires availability Monday - Friday with some Saturday hours possible (schedule to be discussed during interviews). The successful leasing consultant will:
Perform activities related to apartment rental to include providing apartment tours, qualifying prospective residents, preparing documentation and completing move-in procedures
Maintain resident relations by providing excellent customer service and participating in resident promotions or functions as required by management
Meet with current residents regarding lease renewal and rates
Represent the property community in a positive manner and to convey the benefits of the community to prospective residents
Proactively participate in the team effort to accomplish desired results
Participate in staff meetings as required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Minimum of two years sales/leasing experience or equivalent preferred.
Ability to follow directives and work with minimum supervision
Ability to use computer and basic office equipment
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
Ability to interact positively with residents, employees, vendors and the general public
Basic math and computer skills required
Excellent customer service skills, to include follow-up, a must
Valid driver's license and good driving record is required

Position Summary:
This role combines customer service and sales, focusing on leasing apartments. The ideal candidate enjoys engaging with customers by phone, in person, and online. Responsibilities include presenting properties, building rapport, following company standards for tours and sales, and providing follow-up to prospective residents. The position requires adherence to Fair Housing guidelines, maintaining a professional appearance, documenting interactions in PMS software, and assisting customers with application completion per company policies.
Essential Functions:
Customer Engagement: Greets and assists prospective residents via phone, email, text, and in person; build rapport and provide property tours.
Sales & Follow-Up: Presents available units, closes leases following company standards, and conducts timely follow-up with prospects who do not lease immediately.
Property Presentation: Inspects and “sparkle” homes scheduled for tours daily and walk the tour path to ensure it is clean and presentable.
Community Knowledge: Maintains familiarity with property features, local schools, hospitals, banks, shopping, transportation, and amenities; communicate these effectively to prospects.
Compliance & Documentation: Adheres to Fair Housing laws; complete Guest Cards for every interaction and accurately enter data in Yardi PMS software.
Application Assistance: Guides customers through application completion and collect required documentation for affordable housing eligibility.
Marketing & Outreach: Participates in off-site marketing activities and traffic-generating initiatives to support occupancy goals.
Additional Duties: Supports community events, assist with resident retention efforts, and completes projects assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
High School or equivalent education. Sales and / or other customer service experience preferred. Experiences that translate well include hospitality, restaurant and retail.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing.
Well-developed people skills. An ability to work with a variety of personalities and situations in a friendly outgoing and professional manner.
Basic math skills for calculating rent payments, deposits, application fees, pet fees, interest, etc.
Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Reasoning ability, and the ability to focus on established goals and sales requirements.
Ability to work evenings and weekends, including 7 days a week as needed.
May require a valid driver's license.
