The following outlines what your core duties and responsibilities will be for this position and provides a sample overview of what your day-to-day may look like.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable, safety-minded, and professional Lifeguard to join our team. The Lifeguard will be responsible for ensuring the safety of all patrons in and around the swimming area, preventing accidents, and responding quickly and effectively to emergencies. This is a part-time position with varying shifts ranging from 3 to 7 hours per day.
Key Responsibilities:
● Monitor swimming areas to maintain a safe environment for all patrons.
● Enforce all pool rules, regulations, and safety procedures.
● Recognize and respond quickly to emergencies using effective lifeguard techniques.
● Provide first aid, CPR, or other lifesaving measures as needed.
● Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in and around the pool area.
● Conduct regular safety checks of pool facilities and equipment.
● Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emergency procedures and rescue techniques.
Qualifications:
● Current Lifeguard Certification from a recognized agency (e.g., American Red Cross).
● Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification.
● Strong observation and communication skills.
● Ability to remain alert, focused, and calm in stressful situations.
● Must be at least 16 years of age.
Work Schedule:
Flexible part-time shifts ranging from 3 to 7 hours Monday - Friday. During school year operational hours.
Compensation:
$15- to $20.00/hour
