We're looking for a Civil Field Engineer to join our EPC Project in the nuclear power plant environment in Blackfoot, Idaho.
Day & Zimmermann is seeking an experienced Civil Field Engineer to provide technical support for civil and structural construction activities, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to design specifications for capital and maintenance projects within a fossil and gas power plant environment.
Key Responsibilities are below:
Coordinating with the construction team members to align Field Work Packages (FWP) strategy and constructability with Project Management expectations
Coordinating with Project Controls Manager to confirm Project Work Face precursors have been completed and sequencing of FWP work activities are aligned with Project Management Team expectations
Coordinating with the Design Authority to compile all relevant FWP documentation associated with a specific Project Work Face
Coordinating with the Project Quality Manager (PQM) to incorporate the relevant inspection and test activities associated with execution of the FWP work activities
Approving the final FWP and project readiness for Project Team Members and/or Subcontractors to proceed with work execution.
Responsible for the project complying in the chain of custody and the control of handling of material in the field per the Materials Management Procedure, for all materials being installed in the field, and documented in the work packages
Gatekeepers for the review of all relevant FWP Generated documentation and submittals (e.g. Final Inspection & Test Reports, Equipment Performance Data, Nonconformance Report (NCRs), Subcontractor Substantial Completion Certificates; and when required personnel qualification and/or certificates (e.g. Welders, Weld Inspectors, 3rd Party Inspectors)
Lead the FWP Final Walkdown, document and track all open items to closure.
Transmit FWP Closed Final Walkdown package to the Project Management Team for signature and preparation for turnover readiness.
Qualifications:
HS Diploma
5+ years of experience in civil and/or structural field engineering
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
Experience with construction sequencing and site coordination.
Experience working under an ASME NQA-1 Quality Assurance Program
In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $79,000 - $193,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of union fringes).

Position Summary:
The Field Service Technical Engineer will provide technical support for the project site team. This is a hands-on position working closely with corporate IT, onsite project team members and 3rd party contractors.
Essential Responsibilities:
* Install, troubleshoot & repair hardware, software, & peripheral equipment

* Assist with jobsite trailer mobilization and demobilization as required

Your responsibilities in this role:
* Accurately maintaining all physical site dimensions and controls using Robotic Total Stations, GPS systems, and site level.
* Accurate stake out of building lines including foundations, walls, embeds, and pipe work.
* Review and understand construction drawings and identify discrepancies. Incorporates sketches and revisions provided as supplements to the drawings.

Basic Qualifications

What you will be doing
* Meets daily with project crews to review production schedule and confirm all materials, equipment and resources are readily available for production to continue on schedule and within budget.
* Collects, coordinates and analysis shop drawings, design specifications, material requirements and project data through the duration of the project to ensure quality and contract specification compliance.

* Project Startup:
* Create a new project in the data collector.
* Import the data files created by the FE manager.

* Start layout.
* Project Maintenance:
* Continue daily layout needs for the project. Always try to stay ahead of the work.
* Communicate with the team to better schedule daily activities.
* Coordinate the necessary as-built information and capture it.
* Provide as-built data to FE manager.
* Ancillary Tasks:
* Maintain and clean equipment.
* Request supplies and materials through FE manager before necessary.

* As-built Standards:
* Walls Site and retaining walls with critical placement relative to other elements must be as-built at the bottom, middle, and top at approximately 25 increments.
* Columns When necessary, two adjacent faces should be shot next to each visible corner at the bottom, middle, and top.
* Slabs Shots should be taken at the appropriate grid increments to show the condition of placement.
* Anchor bolts All anchor bolts should be shot horizontally and vertically at the top of each bolt in the pattern. Also collect the top of concrete to determine bolt projection. Ensure all bolts are plumb before collecting data. All data is to be collected as soon as possible and sent to the FE manager.
* Deadline Have all as-builts delivered by the 20th of every month unless needed earlier.

Position Summary:
The Field Service Technical Engineer will provide technical support for the project site team. This is a hands-on position working closely with corporate IT, onsite project team members and 3rd party contractors.
Essential Responsibilities:
Install, troubleshoot & repair hardware, software, & peripheral equipment

Assist with jobsite trailer mobilization and demobilization as required
