Job Responsibilities

What You'll Be Working On:
Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Divestitures
Market Mapping and Origination: candidate will work across the organization's business units and functions in order to identify acquisition targets from a sector-first perspective. This includes creating and maintaining market maps, thematic research projects and direct outreach to targets.
Transaction Execution: Support the end-to-end M&A process, including target identification, strategic rationale development, due diligence, valuation, negotiation, and closing.
Financial Modeling & Valuation: Build and maintain complex financial models (Valuation and merger model, Accretion/Dilution analyses, and precedent transaction analyses) to evaluate potential acquisition
Due Diligence: Coordinate and manage cross-functional due diligence teams (Legal, Finance, Operations, etc.), synthesizing key findings and developing risk mitigation strategies. Work closely with third-party providers.
Market Analysis: Conduct industry and competitive landscape analysis within the Industrials, Energy, and Real Estate sectors to identify strategic market gaps and attractive investment opportunities.
Prepare and present on transaction rationale to Executive Leadership team (possibly the Board of Directors)
Strategic Investments & Partnerships
Sourcing and Evaluation: Evaluate strategic investment and partnership opportunities that align with the company's long-term growth objectives.
Deal Structuring: Assist in the structuring and negotiation of terms for joint ventures, strategic alliances, and minority investments.
Business Case Development: Create compelling investment memorandums and presentations for Senior Leadership and the Board of Directors, outlining strategic fit, financial implications, and execution plans.
General Corporate Development
Pipeline Management: Help manage and maintain a robust pipeline of potential M&A and investment targets.

What You'll Bring to the Team:
2-5+ years of experience in Investment Banking (Analyst or Associate level), Corporate Development, Private Equity, or Transaction Advisory Services.

POSTITION OVERVIEW
The Technical Training Specialist balances time between training new and current employees on equipment and preparing them for work in the field. The Technical Training Specialist is responsible for creating and presenting training materials to both internal and external customers as determined by business needs.
PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborates with department manager to develop new training materials as needed to best serve customer needs and changes in product lines. Focus areas may include PPS Solar Academy, PPS preventative maintenance and fault analysis, and PPS first-level diagnostics and repair.
Serves as the principal trainer during training events, with support from other departments as needed.
Assists with scheduling of all company-sponsored training events, including in-house, regional, customer site, and special training events.
Distributes and collects customer feedback surveys, and utilizes feedback to suggest improvements to future training materials and events.
Reviews company policies regarding training events and makes recommendations to the
management team when new policies, or changes to existing policies are needed.
Examines existing training modalities and assists in the development of new modalities that could improve the effectiveness of the training function.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: A bachelor's degree in relevant area (electrical engineering, business, or education) is required or combination of relevant education and experience.
At least 2 years of experience in a training role is required.

The MBA Development Program Internship is a 10-week summer internship program designed to provide participants with exposure to key strategic functions within the company and develop talented MBA students with the skillsets necessary to compete for future Finance positions at ConocoPhillips. The program is project-based with an exciting job assignment, a strategic high-impact project, teambuilding and learning opportunities, as well as the opportunity to network with peers and company leaders. Participants are highly visible to senior leadership and have the opportunity for broad exposure to both Corporate and Business Unit Functions. Potential summer placements include Investment Appraisal, Strategy & Portfolio Management, Acquisitions & Divestitures, Treasury, Low Carbon Technologies, and the Lower 48 Finance Organization.
All MBA Development Program internship roles will be located in Houston, Texas. Specific job description and responsibilities will vary depending on the assignment.
