Jason is a recognized security leader and has been featured in leading publications such as Bloomberg Businessweek, Fortune, Network World, Information Security Magazine, and many other technical trade and business publications. He is a frequent speaker at industry events such as the RSA Conference, as well as many government and industry conferences where he has been instrumental in helping the industry more broadly adopt effective security strategies. Jason Brvenik was Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NSS Labs after a battlefield promotion in 2019. He joined the company in January 2017 and previously served as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). As CEO Jason lead a talented team with a focus on growing the testing programs and cyber threat technologies to address the many gaps that exist in security today until NSS succumbed to Covid related impacts. As CTO, he drove the company’s strategies to improve the overall state of security for the industry, its independent third-party testing model, and its ongoing efforts to bring out “truth in security” for buyers when evaluating vendors. Prior to NSS Labs, Jason served as Principal Engineer in the Office of the Chief Security Architect at Cisco, a role he assumed after the $2.7 billion acquisition of Sourcefire in 2013. During his 11-year tenure at Sourcefire, Brvenik served as a Fellow and Vice President of Security Strategy. He also served as Sourcefire’s principal technologist, where he was instrumental in ensuring that technical solutions could scale to meet customers’ security requirements.

Karthik is the founder and exited of a DFW-based analytics firm and has been an entrepreneur for over 15 years. He is passionate about uplifting human capital with talent management solutions. He has a keen interest in innovations addressing the impact of AI on jobs and childhood education.
