Responsibilities
Provide consultative support to management and employees on human resources strategies, employee relations, and labor relations matters.
Serve as a trusted advisor and visible HR partner across the Legacy Health system.
Contribute to the strategic development and implementation of HR services, initiatives, and programs.
Manage all aspects of labor relations, including:
Union communications
Collective bargaining and contract negotiations
Contract interpretation and compliance
Grievance resolution
Education and coaching for managers on labor-related issues

Responsibilities

As defined in performance standards, the Cardiac Exercise Physiologist assesses, analyzes, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care following established operating unit, cardiac rehab therapy and department standards.
The Cardiac Exercise Physiologist participates as a member of the health care team in cooperation with and under the supervision of the Rehab Program Manager.
Therapy is provided to patients and families integrating knowledge of the cardiac nursing process to achieve desired outcomes in appropriate and consistent collaboration with Cardiac Rehab RNs and Physical Therapists.
Therapy is planned and coordinated in collaboration with patient/family and other members of the healthcare team to maximize patient outcomes and use of resources.
Education is provided that facilitates recovery, self-care, health maintenance, health promotion and wellness.
Clinical competency is demonstrated through the optimal implementation and evaluation of therapeutic processes.
The practice of cardiac rehab therapy is demonstrated through patient advocacy and promoted through professional development and contribution to the professional growth of others.
Qualifications
Education:
M.S. or B.S. degree from an accredited program of Exercise Physiology or Exercise Science or M.S. or B.S. degree from an accredited school of Physical Therapy, with successful completion of the National Board Examination.
Experience:
Experience in clinical delivery of cardiac rehab services preferred.
Licensure
ACLS required.
ACMS certification preferred.

This shared position offers the unique opportunity to work as an OB/GYN Hospitalist in a collaborative community setting at Legacy Mount Hood AND on a high-risk teaching service at a referral hospital in close collaboration with Maternal Fetal Medicine at Randall Children's Hospital. The LMH OB/GYN Hospitalist covers the Family Birth Center including high-risk and unassigned patients. The hospitalist works closely with a 24/7 in-house CNM, who manages their own low-risk OB patients and first assists on C-sections. LMH outpatient clinic physicians provide OB/GYN back-up for emergencies and complex surgeries. The group works closely with LMG Maternal Fetal Medicine physicians, who have a clinic presence during the week and collaborate on pregnant people requiring transfer to Randall Children's for a higher level of care. At RCH/LEMC the OB/GYN hospitalist supports the inpatient needs of the LMG Maternal Fetal Medicine service and supervises Family Medicine and OB/GYN residents from Oregon Health Sciences University. Other responsibilities include backup to the employed Certified Nurse Midwifery practice, coverage for unassigned labor/triage patients, and support of our private practice OB/GYN colleagues as needed (i.e. C-section assisting). The OB/GYN Hospitalist is responsible for Emergency Department and inpatient gynecologic consults and emergencies (miscarriage, ovarian torsion, ectopic pregnancy) at both hospitals. Both hospitals provide 24/7 in house Anesthesia coverage. Shifts are either 12 or 24 hours, starting at 7 am. These shifts are in-house where there is a well-appointed call room. Weekend shifts are split evenly among the group of employees, as are holidays which are on a rotating schedule. Requirements and Qualifications:
Graduate of four-year U.S. Medical School or equivalent with residency completed in OB/GYN
