Responsibilities: We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team that will focus on inspecting, troubleshooting, and performing both corrective and preventive maintenance on a wide range of industrial machinery and systems. The position is ideal for a mechanically inclined candidate who wants to expand skills while working with heavy manufacturing equipment in a hands-on environment. Perform routine inspections, diagnose issues, and complete repairs on industrial production equipment Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance to improve reliability, reduce downtime, and extend equipment life. Work safely around heavy equipment while following established procedures and safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout. Location: Dekalb, IL Schedule/Shift Details: 6:00-3:30 or 4pm Monday thru Thursday. Friday, 6:00am-3:00pm Qualifications: Background in heavy manufacturing or comparable mechanical/military experience. Familiarity with electrical systems up to 480 volts; additional training will be provided as needed. Strong mechanical aptitude with confident use of standard hand and power tools. Experience with hydraulics, welding, and working with steel and industrial materials. Ability to interpret schematics, technical drawings, layouts, and blueprints. Previous forklift operation experience and willingness to work overtime when required. Prior experience performing preventive maintenance tasks on industrial machinery and related systems. Exposure to basic concrete work, basic electrical tasks, welding, and/or plumbing in an industrial setting. High school diploma or GED required; vocational or technical training is a plus. Ability to walk, stand, climb, crawl, bend, and work in tight or awkward spaces for extended periods. Comfortable regularly lifting over 20 lbs. and occasionally lifting more than 50 lbs. Reports To: Director of Maintenance Work Location: Sedalia, MO Key Responsibilities Repair and maintain CNC machines, manual machines, robotics, and machining centers Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and software systems Perform machine alignments using conventional, laser, and electronic methods Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics Diagnose and repair AC/DC and variable speed drive systems Use CMMS to track work orders and maintenance activities Perform preventive and predictive maintenance (vibration analysis, oil sampling, thermal imaging) Respond to machine-down conditions with urgency Follow safe rigging and industrial safety practices Required Qualifications 5+ years of CNC maintenance technician experience Strong understanding of CNC machine design and operation Ability to read technical manuals and schematics Proven electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills Experience using electrical test equipment Ability to operate forklifts and powered industrial vehicles Strong verbal and written communication skills Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel) Fluent in English Authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available) Ability to pass a drug screen and background check Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience Welding, machining, milling, or cutting experience Background in industrial, hydraulic, or mechanical maintenance trades Physical & Mental Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
