Must know, understand, and use Standard Precautions RESPONSIBILITIES: Receive report from the charge nurse after starting your med pass or your shift. May administer oral medications, oral supplements, nasal sprays, inhalers, & scheduled nebulizer treatments, eye drops, and ear drops, suppositories for bowel function or topical medications that are regularly scheduled. In the case of PRN medications, the TMA must check with the licensed charge nurse after administration. All PRN medications must be authorized by the licensed charge nurse prior to administration. Deliver resident care as needed. Maintain good housekeeping in the med room and cupboards & dining room. Clean med trays, counters, med boxes as needed Wipe bottles after use Watch for smeared or illegible labels and have them relabeled by pharmacist Assist in dining room at mealtime.
