Essential Job Duties:
Conduct general case management tasks.
Prepare various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and legal memoranda.
File court documents, with required proficiency in both state and federal e-filing systems.
Identify and submit legal documents for docketing and manage court and case deadlines using firm software.
Oversee and track ongoing court and case deadlines.

Qualifications/Requirements:
Undergraduate degree and/or ABA-approved paralegal certificate preferred.
Prior experience in litigation as a legal secretary and/or junior paralegal preferred.

Stay current with court rules and procedures and understand legal terminology.
Possess excellent written, communication, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.

This is a limited-term position funded through a grant agreement until June 30, 2026 and contingent upon funding extension.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct intake and screenings for potential clients over the phone and in person.
Contact and meet with clients to schedule appointments, send information, and gather necessary documents to assess eligibility and/or aid in applying for immigration benefits
Update client tracker spreadsheets and World Relief's case management system as cases are completed
Assist in client referrals to other World Relief programs and social service providers
Provide interpretation and translation services for legal practitioners during client meetings
Assist with initial drafts of immigration forms to be submitted to USCIS
Assist with application submission preparation
Assist in supporting workshops to serve clients with asylum, temporary protected status, and employment authorization document applications
