Job Title: Paralegal - Real Estate
Location: Scottsdale, AZ - ONSITE (Need local candidate)
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced real estate paralegal to join our team. The successful candidate will assist attorneys in the real estate practice group with a variety of tasks related to commercial real estate.
Key Responsibilities:
Title and Survey review (demonstrated experience handling title/survey review, objection letters, responses to objection letters, review of title endorsements);
Drafting basic agreements (purchase agreements, basic leases, lease summaries, etc.) and amendments;
Draft and review closing documents;
Draft closing letters;
Calendaring of dates and sending reminders to clients and the attorneys at Buchalter;
Organization - keep the calendar and file organized;
Lease review/summary of key legal issues
Review of common diligence materials (property condition report, zoning report)
Related corporate matters (e.g. filing new entities/amending existing entities, entity dissolution and formation).
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred.
At least five years of experience

ProSidian Seeks a Prescott - VA VISN-22 | Court Reporter - Northern Arizona VA Health Care System headquartered near Northern Arizona VA Health Care System to support an engagement for Government - Federal (USA) Sector Clients a federal Cabinet-level agency that provides near-comprehensive healthcare services to eligible military veterans at VA medical centers and outpatient clinics located throughout the country; several non-healthcare benefits including disability compensation, vocational rehabilitation, education assistance, home loans, and life insurance; and provides burial and memorial benefits to eligible veterans and family members at 135 national cemeteries. Prescott - VA VISN-22 | Court Reporter - Northern Arizona VA Health Care System Candidates shall work to support requirements for Assist program and project management in a functional area with educational and practical experience. and Provide Court Reporting Services to the Westeran States Network Consortium.
Candidates must be competent, efficient, and have the experience, necessary training, and education in Court Reporting with adequate and appropriate equipment in order to produce accurate, timely, appropriately bound and indexed transcribed testimony from witnesses. Candidates must be punctual and present at relevant proceedings, demonstrate a professional demeanor, and provide all the necessary equipment and materials to perform their duties and accomplish the deliverables.
Candidates must be proficient in English in order to read portions of the transcript during the proceedings at the request of the board or other presiding body and if asked, clarify inaudible statements. Candidates who have experience with the Administrative Investigation Board (AIB) process, Equal Opportunity Hearing, Human Resources Management Merit System Protection Board (MSPB) or arbitration hearings are preferred.
Candidates must be competent to administer oaths. Depositions shall be transcribed by a duly authorized notary. Candidate must have the flexibility to accommodate any turn-around requested by the client. Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria.

The Prescott - VA VISN-22 | Court Reporter - Northern Arizona VA Health Care System shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position.
TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Candidates must be technically proficient in the skills necessary to fulfill the government's requirements, including the ability to speak, understand, read and write English fluently.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Successful candidate must be able to (with or without accommodation): (1) bend, (2) pull, push, and lift up to 20 pounds, (3) reach, (4) walk, (5) stand and sit for extended periods.
CREDENTIALING AND PRIVILEGING: Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalency. About the Role:
The Husband & Wife Law Team is looking to add an individual with a passion for helping support their team members and pursue our client's best outcomes. As a bookkeeper/ legal administrative assistant in our accounting department, you will have different responsibilities that focus on helping our legal team accurately process and communicate the distribution of our client's settlement proceeds. There will be some bookkeeping tasks as well as various administrative tasks. Communication is also important to this role as you will be interacting with paralegals and sometimes attorneys to ensure the accuracy of settlement distributions, handling of checks, deposits, letters with checks to providers, and more. You must have a keen eye for detail as accuracy is a vital part of this position.
What You'll Do
Processing all settlement checks, deposits, stop payments, voids, and charge backs
Process invoices and apply charges to corresponding client cases and note client files
Review and print check requests, importing check information into Quickbooks, EasyTrust, and Positive Pay (all banking software we utilize)
Utilization of our banking software for various tasks including inputting deposits, inputting checks requested, reviewing the client's ledgers and more
Calculate and facilitate payment to referral sources following case closure
Deposit settlement and reimbursement checks into their corresponding account and ensure deposits are properly input into Quickbooks, EasyTrust, and Filevine
Collaborate with team members to ensure that checks are processed (deposits, mailed, void, etc.) in a timely fashion and no checks become stale dated
Collaborate with team members on additional administrative tasks including phone calls to providers, following up on tasks, and assisting on various projects as necessary
Meet with clients to give them their checks and have them sign off on the receipt of their check and scan to file
Help with prepared disbursements to make sure they are an accurate accounting of the proposed or final settlement proceeds which ensures our clients are being given accurate information for the distribution of their settlement money when our clients talk to their attorney. Request checks, merge letters with providers, and then scan those checks and letters to the client file

DES is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Legal Assistant 2. This position works with The Appellate Services Administration (ASA) provides an administrative hearing and review process for approximately 45 programs administered by DES. Subject matter generally falls into three main categories: benefit eligibility and overpayment, licensing and certification of service providers, and claimant fraud. This position functions as a Validator, Legal Assistant, and Docket Officer to provide support to the Administrative Law Judges (ALJs) at the Office of Appeals. This function is mission critical, as ASA requires this journeyman level legal assistant position to provide daily advice to parties regarding the status of their Public Assistance (PA) appeals, answer process questions and provide assistance consistent with due process requirements. The Docket Officer responsibilities include communication to and from the ALJs with parties, which is required to prevent prohibited "ex-parte" communications. Direct communication with parties allows Docket Officers to assist in timely scheduling of PA hearings and enables parties to be more knowledgeable about the process and to prepare for, and participate in, their hearings. Job Duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Answers elevated calls, Inquiries and concerns that could not be resolved by subordinates. Performs complex research in multiple databases and systems required to assist Validators and respond to inquiries and status of appeal calls. Registers parties for hearings utilizing designated computer programs. Explains appeal procedures and policies to parties and the public. Communicates with parties on behalf of Administrative Law Judges (ALJs)
• Analyzes jurisdiction, issues, etc. by reviewing imaged and paper documents per case.. Identifies and corrects errors and virtually prints missing documents. Uses PC to research related issues elevated by legal support staff or referred by ALJs, ASA management or other DES Departments.
• Timely and accurately processes requests for postponements, withdrawals, and other requests by parties and ALJs. Uses PC to input prompt and accurate notes regarding docket calls and processing requests on the Appeals Processing System (APS) regarding any party contacts on appeal cases, as well as include additional exhibits submitted by parties in the case file.
• Ensures incoming appeals meet noticing deadlines mandated by Federal and State laws. Researches appeal for potential to set aside and remand in order to expedite process for customers. Researches complex issues for case file in Healthy Arizona Plus (HEA+), AZTECS, and DBME OnBase to choose exhibits for a hearing.
• Elevates appeals to the Board for Appeals as necessary. Uploads Administrative Law Judge decisions, dispositions, and orders into HEA+ and AZTECS for department to take action. Follows up with Department Case Workers and Local Offices to ensure all action was taken on a case as instructed by Judge. Enters notes into Case Documentation in HEA+ and AZTECS.
