Job description Freeman Law seeking an experienced full-time Legal Adminstrative Assistant for its Frisco office. A minimum of 3 years of legitimate experience is required. This position reports to the Office Manager, as well as assigned attorneys, and is responsible for providing the requisite legal secretarial and administrative support (clerical) needs of assigned attorneys; preparation of letters, memos, and other documentation; entering conflict information into the system for the purpose of running conflict checks for new clients as well as preparation of supporting documentation; filing pleadings, electronically or otherwise, with the appropriate court systems; docketing of dates into a central docketing system; making travel arrangements; preparing expense reimbursement documentation; providing documentation, as required, to clients. This position provides assistance to attorneys predominantly in the litigation area, but with the ability and willingness to help attorneys, paralegals, and others in other areas as well.
Essential Job Functions

Well versed in both federal and state court procedure and filing requirements, including e-filing in federal court
Format and proofread pleadings, letters, memos, and other documents.
Open and close new matters, including conflicts submission.
Schedule meetings, arrange for conference rooms and related logistics for meetings.
Maintain attorney calendars; plan and schedule conferences, teleconferences, depositions, and travel arrangements.
Perform other duties or tasks as assigned or requested (as needed) by the Office Manager, attorneys, or Business Unit Leader

This Paralegal position supports the Legal Department by managing both outside counsel engagement and the operational efficiency of the department. Bonham - VA VISN-17 | Court Reporter - Sam Rayburn Memorial Veterans Center Candidates shall work to support requirements for Assist program and project management in a functional area with educational and practical experience. and Provide Court Reporting Services to the Westeran States Network Consortium.
Candidates must be competent, efficient, and have the experience, necessary training, and education in Court Reporting with adequate and appropriate equipment in order to produce accurate, timely, appropriately bound and indexed transcribed testimony from witnesses. Candidates must be punctual and present at relevant proceedings, demonstrate a professional demeanor, and provide all the necessary equipment and materials to perform their duties and accomplish the deliverables.
Candidates must be proficiant in English in order to read portions of the transcript during the proceedings at the request of the board or other presiding body and if asked, clarify inaudible statements. Candidates who have experience with the Administrative Investigation Board (AIB) process, Equal Opportunity Hearing, Human Resources Management Merit System Protection Board (MSPB) or arbitration hearings are preferred.
Candidates must be competent to administer oaths. Depositions shall be transcribed by a duly authorized notary. Candidate must have the flexibility to accommodate any turn-around requested by the client. Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria.
