Dean Mead, a full-service Florida Business law firm, is seeking a full-time Commercial Real Estate LegalAssistant to work in our Orlando office. Candidates should have a strong background supporting multiple attorneys in commercial real estate practices. The ideal candidate is organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple priorities, and able to work with limited supervision.
A minimum of three years' experience as a LegalAssistant in Commercial Real Estate or similar practice area is strongly preferred. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft and PDF products and have proven experience using legal document management softwares. Duties and Responsibilities:
Communicate with clients and other parties over the phone and via email.
Maintain attorney calendars; Schedule and arrange meetings.
Enter attorney billing in timekeeping software.
Process expense reports; Track and submit invoices for payment.
Draft and edit real estate documents, such as purchase and sale agreements, leases, and conveyance documents.
Prepare closing statements and review closing statements prepared by others.
Prepare closing disbursement requests and wire authorizations.
Work with attorneys and paralegals to compile closing packages, as well as assist in the preparation of post-closing binders.
Maintain real estate transaction records, as well as file physical and electronic documents.
Prepare local and state government permit applications.
Maintain attorney lobbyist registration accounts and prepare annual expenditure reports.
Other administrative duties, as assigned by attorneys, paralegals, and managers.
