LegalAssistant - Civil Litigation | Nashville, TN
Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. (QPWB), a multi-office national law firm, is seeking a full-time LegalAssistant to join our Concord, California office. This position offers an excellent opportunity to support a busy team of attorneys focused on general civil litigation, while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced and supportive legal environment.

About the Role
The LegalAssistant will provide direct support to litigation attorneys, managing day-to-day case responsibilities and ensuring the seamless coordination of court filings, legal correspondence, and case management. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of thriving in a volume-driven litigation practice.
Key Responsibilities
Draft and prepare legal correspondence, memos, and supporting documentation under attorney direction
Maintain and manage case files, including organizing, opening, and closing matters
Track and manage subpoenas and requests for information
Perform e-filing and e-service in California state courts
Monitor attorney calendars and assist with scheduling trial, discovery, and key litigation deadlines
Input and edit attorney time entries using legal billing software
Communicate with clients, medical providers, and other stakeholders as needed
Ensure timely escalation of case issues requiring attorney involvement
Perform other administrative and legal support tasks as assigned
Qualifications
2+ years of experience as a legalassistant or secretary in civil litigation defense
Knowledge of California e-filing systems and state court procedures is required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational abilities, time management, and attention to detail
High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional legal training or certification is a plus
Physical Demands
This position involves primarily sedentary work with regular use of office equipment. The role may also include occasional walking outdoors, standing, reaching, and lifting materials up to 20 pounds.
Working Conditions
This role is based in an indoor professional office setting with typical noise levels and occasional interruptions.
