Researches complex issues for case file in Healthy Arizona Plus (HEA+), AZTECS, and DBME OnBase to choose exhibits for a hearing.
• Elevates appeals to the Board for Appeals as necessary. Uploads Administrative Law Judge decisions, dispositions, and orders into HEA+ and AZTECS for department to take action. Follows up with Department Case Workers and Local Offices to ensure all action was taken on a case as instructed by Judge. Enters notes into Case Documentation in HEA+ and AZTECS.

Collaborate with team members to ensure that checks are processed (deposits, mailed, void, etc.) in a timely fashion and no checks become stale dated

Meet with clients to give them their checks and have them sign off on the receipt of their check and scan to file
Help with prepared disbursements to make sure they are an accurate accounting of the proposed or final settlement proceeds which ensures our clients are being given accurate information for the distribution of their settlement money when our clients talk to their attorney. Request checks, merge letters with providers, and then scan those checks and letters to the client file

Key Responsibilities
Conduct legal research and assist in drafting memos, pleadings, motions, and court orders under the supervision of an attorney.
Prepare and organize documents, exhibits, and other materials for hearings, interviews, and trials.
Communicate with clients in a professional and timely manner via phone and email.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date case files and records in the Case Management System.
Draft letters, reports, and supporting legal documentation for use in client meetings and court proceedings.
Prepare and respond to discovery demands; manage and review incoming discovery.
Update and manage the firm's Master Calendar to ensure accuracy and timely task execution.
Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to provide case updates and ensure workflow alignment.
Attend firm meetings, including staff updates and internal procedure sessions.
Provide backup support to administrative and legal personnel as needed.

Daily: Minimum of 6 billable hours

Requirements Required Qualifications
Certificate of completion from an accredited paralegal program.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a law firm setting; criminal law experience strongly preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and G-Suite.
Skilled in data entry, calendaring, and case management systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high level of professionalism.
Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and sound judgment.
Team-oriented and adaptable to shifting priorities and case demands.
