Your work assignments will primarily take place in the office. However, telework may be available based upon individual eligibility and the operational needs of the bureau. Individual is responsible for providing administrative support to the Assistant Prosecuting Attorney's in the Juvenile Division. Physical presence is necessary in the office. Regular, predictable and prompt attendance is needed. Educational and Licensing requirements:
High School diploma or GED required.
Two (2) years related work experience, preferably in a local governmental office.
Notary Public, willing to obtain within a year of employment.
Must possess a valid Ohio driver's license and have an acceptable driving record.
Critical skills/expertise:
* Knowledge of the Delaware County Criminal Justice System.
* Demonstrates integrity and reliability, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
* Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
* Knowledge of the Ohio Revised Code, criminal case law, and criminal procedure.

* Schedules appointments for Assistant Prosecuting Attorney's and reconciles court calendar
* Pull and monitor juvenile court docket and detention hearing list
* Closes, seals and prepares juvenile cases to go to Records Center, determines what files can be destroyed per records retention schedule
* Answers telephone, screens calls, gives and receives information to witnesses, parents of juveniles, attorneys, law enforcement and juvenile staff
* Contacts witnesses and law enforcement to relay necessary case information
* Determines case status for Assistant Prosecuting Attorney's, Caseworkers and Court personnel
* Handles client complaints and public inquires
* Receives, processes, distributes and maintains incoming and outgoing documentation and correspondence
* Monthly juvenile reports
* Maintains Matrix with all juvenile cases
* Other duties as assigned by the Prosecuting Attorney, Executive Administrator and Juvenile Supervising Attorney
Individual reports directly to the Juvenile Supervising Attorney, Executive Administrator and the Prosecuting Attorney. The individual exercises independent judgment with direction.
