Compensation: $24 - $31 hourly + commission. Order medical, billing, and employment records
Draft and prepare legal correspondence, pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
Manage subpoenas and related tracking
Prepare and submit materials to experts
Conduct legal and factual research
Coordinate communication with clients, witnesses, and experts
Perform background research on parties and experts
Assemble materials for depositions, hearings, and trial preparation
Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
2-3+ years of paralegal experience in civil litigation, preferably in a high-volume law firm
Experience with state and federal court filings, including e-filing
Strong knowledge of medical records and ability to summarize them is a plus
Familiarity with billing practices and time entry
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); Westlaw knowledge preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently
High School Diploma or equivalent required; paralegal certificate preferred
Physical Demands:
This position is primarily sedentary and requires regular use of office equipment and computers. Occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting of up to 20 pounds may be required.
Working Conditions:
The role is based in an indoor office setting with typical office noise and occasional interruptions.
