The Position

Prepare drafts of various documents incident to real estate transactions, including loan documents, easements, and construction agreements.
Open title on all real estate transactions and send email of critical dates to all parties.
Review and prepare all documents for real estate closings; coordinate signing and circulating all documents. Ensure all documents are filed in project files and perform general file cleanup.

Perform legal research as directed internally by the General Counsel.
Use technical knowledge and experience to evaluate documents and prepare presentation material related to construction claims.
Perform periodic litigation support, including drafting responses to subpoenas and document discovery.

Requirements
Undergraduate degree and/or paralegal certificate.
Experience with real estate transactions, including purchases, sales and leases of commercial real estate.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate detailed and complex information to others.
Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to organize self and others.
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent proofreading skills.
Ability to work effectively independently and within a team environment.
Ability to work well under pressure, in a dynamic environment, including responding to urgent situations as needed, prioritizing multiple business objectives, and meeting deadlines and milestones for projects assigned.
