The position is routinely assigned cases involving substantial evidence, multiple parties and issues, challenging legal questions, and significant variability across matters. It exercises the highest level of independent authority permitted for non-attorneys and supports all phases of litigation, including document preparation, legal and factual research, and hearing coordination. Salary Information
Starting salary for the Paralegal-Advanced will be between $39.00 - $45.67 per hour, plus great benefits. This classification is assigned to pay schedule/range 07-03. A 12-month probationary period may be required. Current state employees will be compensated in accordance with the current State Compensation Plan.
Job Details
Due to the nature of the position, OCI will conduct background checks on applicants prior to selection. OCI does not sponsor visas and is not an eligible OPT employer for those with F1 visas. Qualifications
Minimally qualified candidates will have all the following:
* Experience supporting government or regulatory work through research, organizing files, drafting summaries, preparing documents, and tracking deadlines.
* Experience coordinating a rulemaking process, managing records compliance, conducting examinations or investigations, or overseeing an administrative function for an agency or similar environment.
