Position Overview

Job Summary:
Meneses Law seeks a motivated Paralegal responsible for helping the operations department manage all daily workflow. Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Knowledge of immigration forms such as visas, permanent residence, and other benefits on behalf of our clients.
Obtaining proper documents and helping clients understand them.
Extensive knowledge of visa, permanent residency, and secondary benefit applications.
Meet with department managers to discuss assigned cases or projects.
Must be able to communicate effectively with clients and teams - be articulate and well spoken.
Provide clients with general information about immigration eligibility requirements and the nature of the immigration application or petition process.
Utilizes document and data management systems to prepare, monitor, and record all aspects of client casework.
Have knowledge of basic immigration procedures to help prepare attorneys for immigration court proceedings.
Identifying problems and developing solutions by leveraging their analytical skills.
Manages status of all filed applications and petitions and finalizes documents after attorney review.
Keep track of casefiles and deadlines.
Conduct research on legal issues for attorneys.
Experience in preparing petition packages for review and filing.
Proficiency in legal terminology.
Provides clerical and research support services including document preparation and review.
Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
Performs other related duties.
