Paralegal
Legalshield 4.5
Remote job
Job Summary:The Paralegal will play an integral role within the Legal Department, serving as a trusted partner to both internal stakeholders and external partners. This position is designed for an experienced professional who can provide well-rounded support across two essential areas: content review and contract review. The role requires the ability to interpret complex legal concepts and translate them into practical, business-focused guidance, ensuring that the company maintains compliance, minimizes risk, and supports its overall strategic objectives.
In the area of content review, the paralegal will take ownership of reviewing marketing campaigns, customer communications, website and social media content, and other public-facing materials. The individual in this role will be responsible for evaluating whether materials are accurate, compliant with applicable regulations, and aligned with the company's internal policies and brand standards. This work will involve providing timely legal feedback to departments such as Marketing, Communications, and Operations, while also ensuring that disclaimers, terms of use, and privacy requirements are clearly addressed. The paralegal will be expected to create consistency in review processes by helping to establish checklists, templates, and workflows that improve turnaround time and reduce legal exposure. By managing this function, the paralegal ensures that the company's reputation is protected and that its messaging can be delivered confidently to clients and stakeholders.
The second core area of responsibility is contract review and management. The paralegal will serve as a key resource for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements, including but not limited to vendor agreements, service contracts, nondisclosure agreements, licensing arrangements, and partnership agreements. This role will carefully analyze contractual language, assess associated risks, and recommend revisions to ensure the company's rights and obligations are clearly defined and protected. This requires the ability to balance protecting the company's legal and financial interests with maintaining strong business relationships and facilitating efficient contract execution. The paralegal will work directly with procurement teams, business leaders, and external counsel to resolve issues, address disputes, and ensure that contracts are executed on schedule. Additionally, the role will oversee the maintenance of a contract management system, ensuring that key terms, obligations, renewal dates, and compliance requirements are tracked accurately and proactively addressed.
Beyond content and contract responsibilities, the paralegal will also provide broader legal support to the organization. This may include conducting legal research on evolving regulatory requirements, assisting with policy development, supporting internal audits, and contributing to special projects identified by legal leadership. The paralegal's work will directly influence the company's ability to manage risk, reduce cycle times, and operate within a compliant and efficient framework.
This position requires a high degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and collaboration. The paralegal must demonstrate the ability to communicate complex legal issues in a clear and concise manner, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and build effective working relationships across departments. Success in this role will be measured not only by the accuracy and timeliness of content and contract reviews, but also by the individual's ability to anticipate potential risks, propose proactive solutions, and establish processes that strengthen the company's overall compliance posture.Responsibilities:
