JOB GOAL: Perform varied office functions, including clerical and secretarial duties. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Acts as secretary to the English Language Learner and Migrant Programs, including supporting EL Teachers and EL Teachers on Special Assignment.
General clerical and secretarial duties, typing, correspondence, printing, copying, filing, etc., including the preparation of handbooks, bulletins, calendars, schedules, and agendas.
Assists in preparing budget documents; maintain records of requisitions and purchase orders; and order office and school supplies.
Assists in the development/management of district and building Title I-C and Title III
Coordinates evidence collection for Title I-C & Title III compliance monitoring and coordinate efforts with the District Grant Coordinator.
Oversees federal time and effort reporting, as needed.
Participates on the Title III annual review team and coordinates the compilation of write-ups and summaries.
Maintains student, personnel, financial, statistical inventories and other responsible records including data validations, student files, and data required by the Oregon Department of Education. Prepares and submits reports as requested.
Communicates with the public, staff and students.
Maintains regular attendance and punctuality.
Must respect confidential information and reports.
Performs related duties as directed by the Assistant Superintendent.

JOB GOAL: To recruit students who are eligible for services of the migrant student education program and provide support services to schools for the instructio of those students.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBLITIES:
1. Recruit school-age and non-school-age migrant children for enrollment.
2. Become knowledgeable of the program philopsophy, curriculum, activities and support services, and assist the district staff in determining appropriate accommodations modified to meet the needs of the target group students.
3. Assist school personnel in identifying ways to meet the educational needs of the target group.
4. Work with school personnel to make the student's first exposure to the school a positive, non-threatening experience.
5. Serve as interpreter at parent-teacher conferences when qualified instructional assistants or other personnel are not available.
6. Participate in planning and implementing inservice programs involving school staff members, assisting them in recognizing and understanding the collective and individual needs of the target group students, and in developing programs and services necessary to accomodate those needs.
7. Work with students and parents to encourage regular attendance.
8. Keep school administrators and transportation personnel advised of needed transportation services for the migrant students.
9. Encourage target group parents to visit the school and participate in school sponsored activities.
10. Assist direct administrators in planning and implementing parent advisory committee activities.
11. Participate in indentifying available agencies, service organizations, businesses and industries in the community that can provide supportive services that will assist the school in meeting the needs of the target group students.
12. Assist school personnel and parents in responding to emergencies such as taking students to the doctor, dentist, home, etc.
13. Provide the school administrators the names of the migrant children who should be provided free hot lunches.
14. Through a cooperative effort of school and community resources, assure that the target group students have adequate clothing.
15. Establish lines of positive communication with growers, camp owners and managers, and all people who can provide information concerning the temporary or permanent resident of the target group families.
16. Advise school administrators of projected crop conditions, labor demands and number of migrant families anticipated by growers, contractors and camp managers for the current year.
17. Complete certificates of eligibility with parents' signatures in a timely manner.
18. Develop a working knowledge of school law and district policy.
19. Keep a log of daily activities and complete summary reports.

About the Regional Services Division
The Regional Services Division is made up of seven sections located in communities across Central, Eastern and Western Washington outside the Seattle-Tacoma-Olympia corridor. Duties and Essential Functions of a Paralegal 3
This position supports the work of the Regional Services Division by providing expert paralegal support to attorneys representing Department of Children, Youth, and Families, handling child welfare cases in Clark, Cowlitz, Skamania, Wahkiakum, and Klickitat counties. This position drafts petitions to terminate parental rights, guardianship petitions, negotiates settlements, and conducts trial preparation. In addition, this position has delegated responsibility for administrative supervision of three paralegals in the Vancouver RSD office and serves as a member of the management team for the office. Also trains new paralegals in the practice and procedures of juvenile court. This position is a part of the Vancouver RSD management team and provides feedback and assists with decision making for new processes/procedures for the office.

Life Flight Network (LFN), a not-for-profit air medical transport service, is seeking a Paralegal to join our Legal and Compliance Department and play a crucial role in supporting LFN's mission to save lives with industry leading care and transport. Under the direction of the Chief Legal & Compliance Officer, the Paralegal is responsible for supporting the Legal and Compliance team with various departmental activities, including: legal research and documentation, contract management, litigation management, and general administrative support.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Paralegal certification or associate degree in paralegal studies, required. Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field is a plus.
Proven experience working as a paralegal, with strong knowledge of legal principles and procedures. In-house experience preferred, background in healthcare or aviation industries and real estate transactions a plus.
At least three (3) years of progressively responsible experience supporting transactional legal work, litigation and/or regulatory matters
Strong organizational and communication skills
Proficiency in legal research tools; familiarity with contract management software is a plus
Customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of organization
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Legal Research and Documentation: Conduct legal research and assist with drafting legal documents for review by attorneys
Document Management: Organize and maintain legal and compliance files and corporate records
Contract Management and Transactional Support: Assist Contract Management Specialist and business teams with drafting, formatting, executing and retaining contracts and ancillary documents
Litigation Support: Assist with management of administrative aspects of litigation, including working closely with outside counsel and company employees to implement legal hold notices, collect, preserve and compile documents for discovery responses, manage case files and update litigation trackers
Regulatory support: Draft and maintain compliance documentation, including regulatory filings, and agency correspondence
Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the Legal & Compliance team, including calendaring, file management, and workflow coordination
