The Qualifications:
Education & Experience
J.D. and active license to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction.
7+ years of law firm and/or company legal department experience. Some law firm experience is preferred.
Comfortable reviewing laws and regulations and providing clear and cogent analyses and practical advice on their applications.
Experience with contract drafting, including drafting from scratch and with an attention to detail and reconciling provisions that may potentially conflict with each other or the practicalities of the business.
Familiarity with any of the following subject matter areas: sustainability, nutrition, marketing, supply chain, food safety and quality assurance, packaging, commercial, culinary, and operations.
Experience with reviewing and commenting on marketing copy preferred.
Excellent writing and oral communication skills and the ability to constructively, efficiently, and collegially collaborate with business partners.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be responsive, pro-active, and a self-starter capable of taking projects to completion and problem-solving along the way.
Willing to work flexibly (including, if , at night and on weekends) and to travel, though minimal travel is expected.

Build and maintain relationships with local, state, and national member organizations and coalition partners to increase awareness of the importance of the courts and mobilize against or in support of nominations and policy priorities around the courts and nonprofit advocacy;

Assist with programming, communications, trainings, and operational strategies to deepen relationships with AFJ member organizations. This could include, but is not limited to, writing and editing the monthly member newsletter; drafting member briefings; assisting with quarterly member trainings and capacity building trainings; sharing resources with members; and more;
Assist with recruiting and growing membership; identify opportunities for our member program to further organizational priorities; and strengthen dues/renewals processes. Required Qualifications
BA or BS degree or equivalent experience;
1-3+ years' experience in campaign, community, data analytics, event planning, and/or campus organizing/outreach; coalition-building experience preferred;

Demonstrated experience working with a variety of stakeholder organizations and individuals to engage and motivate to action, including underrepresented constituencies and organizations;

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
Minimum 4-5 years of accounting experience in nonprofit financial accounting
Experience in grant accounting, grant management, or grant administration is highly preferred.
Demonstrated experience managing financial compliance and internal controls
Proficiency in Sage Intacct, Ramp, and Bill.com
Strong knowledge of financial statement presentation
Experience with 501(c)3 and 501(c)4 financial structures preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide financial partnership
High integrity and discretion in managing confidential financial information.

$102,556.
