Position Summary
The Legal Specialist will assist with the day-to-day operations of the Legal Department. This individual will carry out a wide variety of administrative services, provide support to the legal team, manage corporate subsidiary or foreign registration filings, support the contract review and signature process, and ensure that Plug Power remains in compliance with federal and state legal regulations. This individual will be involved in research projects and will be responsible for policy work and process improvements. Core Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain template agreements, proofread documents, and edit and draft contracts and amendments (e.g., non-disclosure agreements; patent, confidentiality, non-compete, non-solicitation agreements; purchase orders; supplier terms and conditions).Manage legal documentation and correspondence while maintaining confidentiality Collect, examine, and organize legal documents for the department to review and maintain legal records Research regulations and laws to assist with the preparation of reports and legal advice Organize and track files for contracts, external advisors, transactions, case documents or litigation matters Support insurance and risk management efforts, including coordination with brokers and managing certificates of insurance Assist with invoicing, expense reports, budget review, meeting coordination and preparation, and travel logistics as needed Represent Plug Power in a professional manner at all times and in all interactions Perform all other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

The Legal Specialist performs a variety of legal services and project management services on procurement and sourcing contracts and matters that are handled by the Legal Department in support of the Strategic Global Sourcing business unit. The Legal Specialist must have sufficient experience and ability to function as an independent professional.

In the Procurement contracting area, the duties and responsibilities of the Legal Specialist I may include, without limitation, the following: Collaborate with numerous internal departments, including Global Indirect Strategic Sourcing, customer experience, business development, finance, credit, and risk management. Generating initial contracts from Legal Department forms for business clients and communications with the business clients about the same Providing project management assistance in connection with commercial contracting process Preparing standard contract revisions Maintaining correspondence and documentation related to contracts Troubleshooting contract-related issues



What your background should look like

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:

* High School Diploma.
* One year related experience and/or training in collection and recovery or consumer litigation.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and organization skills; time management skills; and professional demeanor.
* Competent in Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and State/Federal Regulatory requirements relative to legal collection work.
* Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

ESSENTIAL MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
