Dan Wernikoff has served as our Chief Executive Officer since October 2019. Prior to that, Mr. Wernikoff held various general manager roles during fifteen years at Intuit, including in its two largest business units, the Small Business Group and the Consumer Group. During his tenure, he was instrumental in evolving the Small Business Group from a US, desktop centric business, to a global online platform. Over the course of his tenure overseeing QuickBooks, he grew the QuickBooks Online user base tenfold. While general manager of the Consumer Group, Wernikoff was responsible for the introduction of TurboTax Live, a service that integrated CPAs into the DIY tax filing experience. He also drove the evolution of TurboTax into a platform through the introduction of the Turbo product and a marketplace of financial services. Prior to his various general manager roles, Wernikoff held various product and marketing leadership positions while at Intuit.

Rich Preece joins LegalZoom after a 17-year tenure at Intuit, most recently as Senior Vice President and Head of Customer Success for the Small Business and Self-employed group, where he was responsible for developing integrated product and marketing strategies and distribution, including an innovative new service called QuickBooks Live. Rich was accountable for more than $3B in annual revenue, as the US Country Leader for QuickBooks, and he has also previously led the Accountant Segment for QuickBooks, both in the US and across international markets. Prior roles include Vice President and Global Accountant Segment Leader, and Vice President and Managing Director, Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). During his tenure at Intuit, Rich was recognized as one of Intuit’s top innovation leaders, with global success scaling priority markets and creating demand while establishing rapid early growth in new geographies. A 3-time winner of the prestigious Scott Cook innovation award, Rich holds 4 US patents.

Noel Watson joined LegalZoom in 2020 from TrueCar, where he served as Chief Financial Officer, responsible for financial operations including financial planning & analysis (FP&A), accounting, corporate development, and investor relations. He was instrumental in navigating a strategic transformation for the digital car buying marketplace. Noel has more than 20 years of successful financial and operating leadership, with a focus in high-growth digital services businesses. Prior to TrueCar, Noel spent 13 years at TripAdvisor Inc., the world’s largest travel platform with over 400 million unique monthly site visitors, where he held the position of Chief Accounting Officer. He began his career as a certified public accountant at Arthur Andersen LLP and subsequently held management positions at Boston-based technology firms ArrAy Inc. and Way Systems prior to joining TripAdvisor in 2006. He joined Zynga’s Board as an independent director in July of 2020. Noel holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Bryant University.

Shrisha joined LegalZoom after an 11-year stint at Intuit where he helped architect and deliver numerous innovations and products in the Small Business space. As the Engineering leader for the QuickBooks Product & Platform teams, Shrisha was responsible for two of Intuit’s flagship product lines: QuickBooks Online & QuickBooks Self-Employed. Shrisha is a recipient of Intuit’s prestigious Scott Cook Innovation award and holds four patents from his tenure at Intuit. Prior to Intuit, Shrisha was at BooRah, where co-developed a first-of-its-kind Natural Language Processing-based summarization and rating technology for local business reviews. Shrisha holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Information Science from Bangalore University.

Kathy joined LegalZoom in 2020 after spending more than 20 years at Intuit, most recently as Vice President of Business Development & Partnerships. In that role, she was responsible for business development, advertising sales, and ad operations for Intuit’s consumer tax and financial products and services in the U.S. and Canada, including TurboTax®, TurboTax Live, Turbo and Mint. Prior to that, she held multiple leadership roles including leading the Global Partnerships team on delivering small business partner solutions and integrations via the Intuit Developer Platform. She was also a key member of Intuit’s Corporate Strategy & Development team for mergers and acquisitions, and led the organization in its acquisition of Credit Karma. She holds a patent for algorithm and models for creditworthiness based on financial management data and is a 2014 winner of the Scott Cook Innovation Award for her contributions to QuickBooks Capital. Kathy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Finance from the University of Missouri.
