Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Scientist to join our MSAT team, responsible for driving the development, implementation, and optimization of innovative manufacturing processes for autologous and allogeneic cellular therapy products, including CAR-T. You will lead the design, execution, and interpretation of complex process development experiments, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure seamless technology transfers to GMP manufacturing groups.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of automated manufacturing processes, including cell selection, activation, expansion, and harvest.
Design, execute, and interpret complex process development experiments.
Author, review, and coordinate technical documents, protocols, and reports.
Analyze and present data in a clear and concise manner.
Ensure GMP compliance in laboratory notebooks, protocols, and reports.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to evaluate, develop, and implement new process technologies.
Author technical documents to support regulatory filings.
Conduct technical discussions & meetings with internal stakeholders including procurement, quality, development and finance, and facilitate implementation of new automated processes.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
Design and execute proof-of-concept experiments to demonstrate feasibility of new technologies or processes.
Generate and analyze data to demonstrate compatibility of new technologies or processes with existing manufacturing systems.
Lead technology transfer activities to ensure successful implementation of new processes or technologies in GMP manufacturing environments.
Makes independent decisions regarding routine laboratory execution, minor troubleshooting, and data analysis within approved study protocols. Guidance is sought from senior team members for experimental design, major troubleshooting steps, and changes to validated processes.
Requirements
3-5 years of experience in MSAT, process development, or a related field.
Strong expertise in cell therapy, automation, and bioprocessing.
Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Experience with technology transfers, GMP manufacturing, and regulatory filings.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Knowledge of automation technologies, including but not limited to:

The base pay range below is what Legend Biotech USA Inc. reasonably expects to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location. The company reserves the right to modify this range as needed and in accordance with applicable laws. Performance-based bonus and/or equity is available to employees in eligible roles.
The anticipated base pay range is:$93,463-$122,670 USD

The incumbent should have an interest in the basic science of stem cells and neuroscience. By understanding how the cells grow and differentiate we will be able to produce a better cell for transplantation and develop techniques for disease modeling. We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral scientist (1-2 years of experience following terminal degree) to join an NIH/NCI-funded drug discovery laboratory. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in the design and synthesis of small molecules, along with classical structure determination using modern spectroscopic methods (¹H, ¹³C, ¹⁹F NMR) and mass spectrometry (MS). You will bring fresh energy and ideas to ongoing discovery efforts and actively contribute to the research program.

Principal Investigator, Dr. Costas Anasstasiou, PhD invites you to consider this Project Scientist opportunity to join his dynamic team!
The Anastassiou Laboratory is affiliated with the Department of Neurosurgery and Neurology, the Center of Neural Sciences and Medicine and the Regenerative Medicine Institute. The lab team studies how the molecular and cellular composition of neurons translates to their phenotype and how these properties combine in brain circuits to produce function or, in the case of disease, dysfunction.
The Project Scientist works independently and in cooperation with the Principal Investigator to make significant and creative contributions to a research or creative project in any academic field. The position may be an ongoing member of a research team or may be employed for a limited period of time to contribute high-level skills to a specific research program. This role is not required to carry out independent research or to develop an independent research reputation and do not have teaching responsibilities. Ordinarily, this position will carry out research or creative programs as well as administration of day-to-day lab operations with supervision by a member of the Professorial Series.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists in the preparation of grant proposals, submissions, publications, and presentations but is not responsible for generating grant funds.
May serve as PI for certain grants.
Participates in publications and presentations as author or co-author.
Develops, adapts and implements new techniques and protocols.
Assists in lab experiments, analyzes, interprets, summarizes, and compiles data.
May lead or train Staff Research Associates and Research Fellows.
Appointees on an academic trajectory will be encouraged to commit a portion of their time to developing an independent range of research.
Will assist in day-to-day laboratory activities.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Doctorate degree, required.
Completion of postdoctoral appointment in area of specialization, as applicable.
Knowledge of PI's area of research specialization.
Demonstrated technical proficiency.

Role Overview:
Legend Biotech is a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery and development of novel cell therapies for oncology, immunology and infectious disease indications. We are currently seeking a talented and motivated candidate to join the R&D cell biology and immunology lab at US site. The successful candidate
will contribute to the company's efforts to develop next-generation cell therapies in solid tumor malignancies. The successful candidate will have a strong Molecular biology/Cell biology and Immunology background, and expect to work in a collaborative cross-functional team environment, perform experiments, organize and analyze results, communicate effectively and present findings in team meetings.
Major Responsibilities:
Assist in developing T cell therapy platform, perform cell-based immunoassays, including ex-vivio antigen specific T cell isolation and expansion, Viral-vector based introduction of TCRs / CARs into human T cells, multi-color flow cytometry, ELISA, ELISPOT assays
Culture and characterize genetically modified human T cells and tumor cells including gene expression and cell functionalities testing
Plan and execute in vitro functional assays with T cells according to project goals and timelines.
Effectively communicate plans and results in both oral and written form.
Ability to work in a highly dynamic collaborative team environment.

Qualifications
Education:
B.S or M.S. in biomedical science field or cell biology and immunology
Experience:
> 5 year with B.S. or 2-5 year with M.S. Industry/academic experience in Immunology/Cell Biology, preferably Immunotherapy.
Key Capabilities, Knowledge, and Skills:
Experience with multi-color flow cytometry and data analysis (FACSDiva, FlowJo) required.
Experience with primary T cell-based assays preferred.
Excellent mammalian cell/tissue culture and sterile technique required.
Strong organizational skills and record keeping.
Self-motivated and willing to accept temporary responsibilities outside of initial job description.
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential in this collaborative work environment.
