Joseph Joseph A. Sullivan, Joe, is the Chief Executive Officer, President, and Director at Legg Mason Inc. since February 13, 2013. Prior to joining Carlyle, Peter Nachtwey was a partner at Deloitte & Touche, serving in various leadership roles including Northeast Regional Managing Partner for the Investment Management industry and as the firm's lead partner for the Blackstone Group. Before becoming a partner at Deloitte, Peter Nachtwey spent two years overseas working for a U.S. defense contractor. Peter Nachtwey graduated magna cum laude from Syracuse University. He is active in a number of industry groups, and he is a member of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board’s Investor Advisory Committee. Peter Nachtwey’s community activities have included College Bound Foundation, The National Gallery of Art, The Friends of the New York Public Library, and the Tri-State Regional Plan Association.
