The Sr. FSE is a client-facing sales position that's focused on identifying, prospecting, and helping to close the Raritan/Legrand Access and Control (KVM) & serial console suite of products. The Sr. FSE is aligned with TSMs and RVPs to focus on the top revenue potential projects. This position is responsible for providing specialized expertise in KVM, serial console, and related technologies. The Sr. FSE is responsible for advising on best practices and designing solutions that meet or exceed client expectations.
The Sr. Field Sales Engineer-Access and Control has a strong understanding of the data center, lab, and A/V environment including, but not limited to, network, compute, storage, and A/V environments. The Sr. FSE confidently serves as a trusted advisor to the customer by providing insight and expertise. The Sr. FSE assists the client -- while maximizing the likelihood of a successful sale.
This is a REMOTE position.
What Will You Do?
Engage in new account acquisition focusing on large Fortune 500 data center clients.
Produce and provide detailed layouts and BOM for access and control designs.
Meets with key customers and decision-makers to develop effective relationships.
Meets assigned targets for revenue and profit for all targeted accounts and projects.
Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs.
Effectively manages customer accounts by fostering excellent communication both internally and externally, and through a strict adherence to channel rules of engagement.
Provide regular updates to their leadership on the status and performance of customer accounts within the territory.
Grow annual sales of the KVM Access portfolio.
Utilizes and relies on SalesForce.com as the basis of communication for the sales organization.
Effectively engages with the product management team to communicate new feature requests and market trends.
Salary range - $180,000 - $200,000 per year OTE

Education:
BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent trade certification credentials.
Experience:
10+ years of successful sales experience in Data Center Infrastructure.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Strong understanding of KVM, server management and related technologies.
Background and experience with the competitors in KVM space, adjacent technologies, and A/V vendors.
Experience working with TCP/IP networks, VLANs, and remote management tools and protocols.

Main Responsibilities:

Design system layouts for busduct systems based on site surveys, customer drawings, project tenders, and field input.
Utilize AutoCAD (mechanical and electrical) for layout and design tasks.
Create and maintain technical documentation including catalog sheets, FAQs, technical briefs, reports, and installation instructions.
