Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join the Audio Video Division in Union, Ohio. The Manufacturing Engineer will provide day to day support on products being built in the manufacturing assembly area(s). This would include working with the assembly team in the identification of continuous improvement ideas that utilize lean manufacturing principles. These improvements would target processes and procedures that will enhance the quality and repeatability of the assembly process and increase productivity.
What Will You Do?
Identify process and assembly improvements and work with a seniorengineer to implement improvement ideas into the manufacturing area using lean manufacturing principles.
Provide troubleshooting support to the manufacturing floor
Create and maintain manufacturing processes and procedures
Provide input on the design of new product line assembly cells and implement their setup
Provide process and procedural training to assembly personnel
Participate in new product design reviews to identify design for manufacturability (DFM) issues and opportunities
Review assembly documentation for accuracy through ECO reviews
Work with packaging vendors to design custom packaging solution for high volume assemblies
Design and implement assembly fixtures that will increase efficiencies on the manufacturing floor
Provide Return on Investment (ROI) justification on capital expenditures
Understand workplace hazards and take steps to proactively prevent and report hazards or injuries in the workplace. Cooperate in Safety Programs, initiatives, and investigations.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science degree in manufacturing, industrial or mechanicalengineering or other related technical degree with a minimum of six (6) months engineering experience in a manufacturing environment; or combination of relevant education and experience
3D CAD work experience

As an engineer on the Editor team, you'll work across the full stack to shape the core user experience of Hex. We work on the critical path where users create, collaborate, and scale their work on the platform.
We built the first AI agent at Hex! We built the foundational agent framework for other product teams to build on, powering future AI workflows. We keep a close eye on industry best practices and green field features from leading providers such as OpenAI and Anthropic - it helps that they're a customer!
We partner closely with embedded AI engineers and our research team, on context engineering tactics, and prompting strategies and keep up with optimizations and the latest models as soon as they become available, bringing refined, high quality and reliable responses users.
We design and architect seamless integrations with Slack and other tools to meet our customers where work is being done, bringing conversational flow and expanding our footprint across customer workspaces.
We enhance developer workflows with features like AI‑powered code typeahead, and in-product reviews bringing software development lifecycle best practices to data practitioners.
We solve complex UX challenges around multiplayer editing, real‑time collaboration, and performance at scale in data intensive applications.
About you
3+ years of experience as a full‑stack software engineer, comfortable navigating the entire application stack and building full‑stack applications with React and Typescript.
You have a strong understanding of front‑end and back‑end development principles, with an appreciation for elegant user experiences and a track record of leading and executing major product initiatives end to end.
You have strong instincts around technical strategy and product alignment, balancing velocity with engineering excellence.
You have empathy for data teams and understand the challenges involved in answering complex data questions, and working with modern data warehouses.
You are excited by the opportunity to work at the forefront of AI development, tackling novel problems in agentic user interactions, user pattern and reliability.
You are pragmatic and action‑oriented, focused on delivering high‑quality solutions that directly contribute to business‑critical features.
