lots of funding for classroom supplies
leadership is ridiculous. teachers are treated like children and completely overloaded with paperwork and unnecessary tasks that admin should be doing. never any subs so classes are always combined and overfilled. basically a day care where limited learning is actually happening because there is minimal opportunity to actually teach the children.
its a paycheck. but its getting so bad that the pay doesn't negate the stress level
they know how to market a great program! very good at smoke and mirrors
they absolutely need more staff or smaller class sizes. they get an enormous amount of money in grants and state funding, but will never hire aids to assist in the classroom or during meals where it is extremely needed. it all gets dumped on the teachers who are already overworked. they have many admins but the teachers do most of their own admin work so it appears that the leaders on top are sitting on nice salaries at the expense of the teachers dedication.
