In 1993, the Ottawa Lynx joined the International League as an affiliate of the Montreal Expos, and given Ottawa’s proximity to Montreal, the team had an active following.
The team won the International League championship in 1995, but that season proved to be the last significant highlight in Lynx franchise history.
Construction on Coca-Cola Park was completed in 2008, making it the second largest outdoor stadium in Allentown right behind the J. Birney Crum Stadium.
The 2011 season marked the first time the IronPigs eclipsed the .500 mark, and they did so in fine form with a record of 80-64 under the tutelage of manager Ryne Sandberg
