The Role a Fabrication Modeler As a Fabrication Modeler at Suburban Enterprises, you are essential in creating detailed 3D models and drawings for a wide range of fabrication projects. You will work closely with our engineering, production, and project management teams to ensure that every design is accurate, functional, and manufacturable. What You'll Do Create and develop accurate 3D models for fabrication using CAD software (such as AutoCAD, Revit) along with blueprints, sketches, and other design documents. Assure designs are executable and efficient for production. Modify and refine models to meet customer specifications and industry standards. Generate detailed 2D drawings, cut lists, and other documentation required for fabrication and assembly. Collaborate with project teams, including engineers and production staff, to resolve any design issues or challenges during the fabrication process. Participate in project meetings to understand design goals and timelines. Maintains the companys professional image with distributors, vendors, owners, design professionals, and the general public. Understand clients requirements and develop compatible processes to meet those requirements. Monitor costs and schedule to ensure clients requirements are met. Demonstrate fiscal prudency of clients funds. What You Bring (Required Experience) Electrical and/or specialty systems field experience required and/or job-related experience in 2D and 3D modeling. 7 years of field and/or technical experience combined. Advanced understanding of codes: NEC, BICSI, or NICET. Ability to read and interpret drawings is required. Bluebeam, Auto CAD and Revit 3D knowledge is required. Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in creating models and drawings. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Must possess the ability to multi-task and work within scheduled deadlines. Tactful in their dealings with people using good customer service and interpersonal skills, communicating effectively with co-workers, managers, and potential outside customers. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. High school diploma or equivalent (HSED or GED). Bonus Points For (Preferred Experience) Associate's degree or equivalent experience in CAD design, engineering, or a related field. Bonus - Journeyman and/or Master Electrician License. Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor. Experience in metal fabrication, construction, or a related field is preferred. Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and best practices in fabrication. Previous experience in the fabrication or manufacturing industry is a plus.
