+ Using accepted practices and standards to design substation protection and control drawing packages and required documents for electric power substations from 12kV to 500kV in AutoCAD Electrical design software.
+ Relay One Line design
+ Three Line AC schematic design
+ DC protection schematic design
+ Panel layout and Control House layout design
+ Communication and alarm schematic design
+ Wiring design for point-to-point panel wiring
+ Cable and interconnection wiring design and cable schedules
+ Develop Bill of Materials based on design criteria
+ Complete project lifecycle support from scoping to final design and implementation.
+ Applying the minimum requirements of the National Electrical Safety Code to the design processes
+ Working with client standards to implement design
+ Design and drafting to create the necessary drawings for each project utilizing AutoCAD Electrical software
+ Provide PDF design markups to Drafters for projects designed in non AutoCAD Electrical software, such as standard AutoCAD or Microstation
**Basic Education Requirements:**
+ Level 3: High School Diploma and 2+ years of prior relevant experience
+ Level 4: High School Diploma and 3+ years of prior relevant experience
+ Level 5: High School Diploma and 5+ years of prior relevant experience

**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical with SDS (Substation Design Suite)
+ 2+ years of substation protection and control design experience using AutoCAD Electrical with SDS (Substation Design Suite), preferably electric utility industry-related projects
+ Proficiency designing schemes utilizing SEL and GE protection and control relays
+ Ability to learn and effectively utilize new design software programs
+ Ability to work in a team environment with others including, but not limited to, Project Managers, Engineers, Designers, and Drafters in multi-discipline groups
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
+ Experience with document control software, such as, Bentley Projectwise and Autodesk Vault

The ideal candidate will support the daily operations of the FAA's Legacy Infrastructure to Future Technologies (LIFT) Portfolio and the goal of converting National Airspace Connectivity from TDM to IP. The scope includes Telecommunications Infrastructure Replacement, Small Tower Voice Switches, Air to Ground Protocol Converters and NEXCOM Radios.
**Job Duties Include:**
+ Evaluate existing site surveys to develop scope of work for site preparation requirements
+ Conduct site surveys at remote sites for LIFT site preparation requirements
+ Draft site preparation scope of work for facilities based on site survey reports and facility data
+ Identify LIFT contract CLINs required to complete site preparation
+ Develop cost estimates for site preparation
+ Review contractor site prep proposals for accuracy and compliance with scope of work

Primary Level Salary Range: $194,600.00 - $292,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. **THE CHALLENGE (Role and Responsibilities)**
+ Must have an interest in developing your skills in creating the work packages for transmission, distribution or substation engineering projects.
+ Assist with the preparation of project deliverables including but not limited to engineered drawings, technical reports, project-related correspondence and miscellaneous project documentation.
+ Assist the team with the development of processes and procedures to improve project execution efficiency.
+ Work in a team atmosphere to provide technical and project support for high voltage transmission line projects as well as low voltage distribution projects.
**WHAT SETS YOU APART (Required Skills)**
+ Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering program in an accredited university with a current GPA of 2.6 or higher.
+ Ability to work in both a field and office setting.

**Pay Range:**
Pay Range $48,100.00 - $86,950.00
