Leidos' Digital Modernization Sector | Space, Air Force, & Defense Agencies (SpADe) Division is seeking an experienced Deputy Program Manager to support the U.S. Air Force Cloud One Architecture and Common Shared Services contract. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience modernizing a leading, global-scale multi-cloud environment in support of a critical mission, supporting USAF system resiliency, security, and cost effectiveness. This role will focus on managing the cost, technical, and schedule aspects of the program, working collaboratively to address dependencies, risks, and issues while developing detailed schedules for the program. The Deputy PM will support the PM in day-to-day operations leading approximately 200 engineers and business specialists to support the operations of the Cloud One environments. The Deputy PM will ensure high quality and on-time delivery of projects throughout their entire lifecycle; collaborate with a diverse workforce within a matrix environment; communicate effectively in obtaining and synthesizing requirements from external stakeholders, while working with the team to implement new technical solutions leveraging advanced concepts; manage resources, budget, schedule, customer engagement, and ensure high end-user satisfaction.
The Deputy PM acts for the PM on all matters relating to work performed, during any absence of the PM. Basic Qualifications:

This position will receive daily tasking and prioritization from their site lead. The selected candidate will be responsible for operations and maintenance support of the MQ-4C Triton network and communications systems at a Forward Operating Base (FOB).
**Duties and Responsibilities:**

You will be the FPGA Design Engineer for the FPGA & Digital Design team at Lockheed Martin's Chelmsford, MA campus. Our team is responsible for creating cutting edge digital and FPGA solutions that power multi function missile and fire control modules, wireless datalink communications, and high performance microwave systems.
What You Will Be Doing
As the FPGA Design Engineer you will help turn challenging concepts into reliable hardware and firmware that meet strict size, weight, power, and security requirements. You will collaborate with FPGA specialists, microwave experts, and cross functional groups to deliver end to end digital solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
• Designing, coding, and verifying complex FPGA architectures that embed DSP, encryption, networking, and microwave circuit control.
• Developing RTL logic, register transfer level (RTL) code, and supporting circuitry for multi function modules.
• Creating and maintaining firmware and design requirement documents that define system architecture and performance targets.
• Performing hardware and firmware debugging in the lab using state of the art test equipment and oscilloscopes.
• Leveraging the latest FPGA families with embedded ARM processors to meet SW HW integration goals.
• Conducting peer reviews of firmware code and digital designs to ensure quality, standards compliance, and traceability.
• Selecting devices, evaluating part availability, and managing component obsolescence to keep designs manufacturable and affordable.
• Working closely with test, mechanical, and manufacturing engineering teams to validate designs through prototypes, SIL/ HIL testing, and production hand offs.
• Supporting wireless datalink communication system development for missile and fire control applications.
• Contributing to continuous learning initiatives, sharing knowledge, and mentoring junior engineers in best practices.

Basic Qualifications
-A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with at least 8 years of professional experience.
-Firmware development experience using Verilog, SystemVerilog or VHDL is required.
-Firmware development using Matlab, Simulink, System Generator or HDL Coder as it applies to digital signal processing (DSP).
-The ability to create verification test-benches to simulate the firmware code using Siemens Modelsim/Questa, Synopsys VCS or equivalent simulation tools is required.
-FPGA design skills using software tools such as AMD Vivado, Microsemi Libero, Intel Quartus and Synplify or similar tools for synthesis is required.
-The ability to perform FPGA timing closure, power estimate and pin assignments is required.
-Ability to debug hardware and firmware issues in the lab using various test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
-The ability to work independently on firmware development tasks and seek out information to accomplish the tasks is required.
-The ability to follow our established LM firmware development best practices and design assurance process is required.
-Ability to develop firmware in a Windows and Linux OS environment.
-Experience documenting moderately complex engineering designs is required.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
-Strong organizational skills are required.
-The ability to work effectively in a team environment and the ability to multi-task are required.
-Candidate must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance and have the ability to be granted an interim secret prior to start.
Desired skills
-A BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with 10 years of professional experience is preferred.
-Prior experience developing and working with interfaces such as SPI, I2C, RS422, JESD204B is desired.
-Knowledge of GIT or Bitbucket for firmware code repository and code development process is desired.
-Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, TCL, Perl is desired.
-Some basic software development skills using C/C++ for system on a chip (SOC) within the FPGA.
-Experience with AMD Versal or Zynq Ultrascale RFSOC FPGA's.
-Knowledge in using Atlassian Jira tools or equivalent for firmware issue tracking and sprints.
-Worked with development boards from Xilinx, Microsemi or Intel.
-Demonstrated experience documenting complex engineering designs is desired.
-Knowledge of modulation and demodulation schemes as it applies to microwave RF.
-Prior engineering experience within the Aerospace, Aeronautics, Defense, Space, Automotive, or Electronics Sectors is desired.

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $145,200 - $255,990. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
