As a member of the CM Team, the CM Analyst will work alongside program managers, engineers and actively lead CM professionals to process hardware and software changes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of drawings, schematics, software and documentation. The ideal candidate will be able to interpret and apply policies, processes, procedures and technical data standards and maintain awareness for continuous improvement opportunities.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Demonstrate knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM): part categories, drawing types, change orders and document control processes.
+ Review and process part/product changes efficiently, accurately and consistently.
+ Drive process improvement initiatives in an effort to streamline and standardize proper CM status accounting and procedural implementation.
+ Analyze change impact on in-process and on-hand material.
+ Part entry and updates.

**Qualifications:**

+ BS degree and/or CM certification from an ASQ accredited source. Experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
+ Familiarity with the pillars of Configuration Management, purpose and importance.

Basic Qualifications

This role is responsible for installing and modifying structural aircraft components and composite parts, ensuring precise fit and adhering to strict tolerances.
Your duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Installing detail parts such as shims, splices, gussets, angles, brackets, doublers, and patches.
* Modifying major structural components (ribs, stiffeners, longerons, straps, skins) and composite assemblies using shop aids.
* Applying expert knowledge of bonding practices, procedures, and layouts to achieve exact fits, especially where critical surface contours, edge distances, or coordinated dimensions and tolerances to 0.005" must be maintained.
* Completing all bonding operations with ingenuity to determine the most efficient fabrication and assembly methods.
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical manuals, and structure repair manuals, including understanding symbols, flags, and general notes.
* Identifying aircraft locations by station, butt-line, and waterline as shown on engineering documentation and technical orders.
* Using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and standard scales.
* Demonstrating extensive and recent experience with tools including drills, angle motors, shears, drill press, and pneumatic riveter.
* Being familiar with a variety of aircraft materials, including aluminum, steel, titanium, plastic, and advanced composites.
* Verifying application and condition of installed Low Observable (LO) materials for conformity to specifications, determining material and time required for repairs, and making corrections or reinstallations as needed.

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman San Diego's operations engineering team which supports the assembly and testing of power and control systems for naval applications.
Basic Qualifications
A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2026.
Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree
Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2026.
