This position is responsible for planning, developing and delivering training programs, manuals, and procedures for technical products or solutions. Duties may include analyzing training needs and developing programs to address them; developing lesson plans, training materials, course content and methodology; and managing delivery of training across multiple formats. May also evaluate efficacy of training and application of knowledge, provide train-the-trainer programs and qualify trainers for content delivery. May assist with the development and implementation of technical manuals and procedures in support of program requirements. This position is an exciting opportunity to support the Indirect Fire Protection Capability Program. Primary Responsibilities As part of a multi-functional, matrixed team, the Technical Trainer will be responsible for facilitating the entirety of the training program in preparation for logistics demonstrations and test events. Will prepare and conduct New Equipment Training (NET) courses in accordance with AR 350-1, MIL-PRF-29612, Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Regulation 350-70 and the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) process. Will develop and implement an integrated training program to fully train personnel to operate and maintain the system. Will design, prepare and develop an exportable multimedia TSP complete with digitized Programs of Instruction (POI), Lesson Plans, Student Handouts, Instructor Guides, and test and answer sheets. Will coordinate with Leidos program staff, engineers, and government program and test personnel to assist in the coordination of on-site training in support of test and qualification events. Will contribute to the development of in-process review briefings, review; comment on, and develop training related documents, plans and report; draft technical papers; participate in integrated project teams; respond to customer inquiries; and verify product technical quality. Assist in preparing and maintaining operations documentation, user guides and manuals and technical publications. Gather technical information, prepares written text. Responsible for writing, editing, proofreading and/or providing writing support on non-technical and/or technical documents or sections of documents such as manuals and procedures. Will provide direct support to the Leidos Training Manager on all technical training efforts, integrate with the systems engineering team, and attend all scheduled meetings as required. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 4-8 of prior relevant experience; or Master's Degree and 2-6 years of prior relevant experience; additional experience considered in lieu of degree. Active Secret security clearance Ability to achieve and maintain a Government certified instructor qualification as defined in AR 350-1, TRADOC Regulation 350-70, and TRADOC Regulation 350-18. Direct experience providing training and programs of instruction for military acquisition programs and programs of record. Strong communication skills, classroom and podium instructor experience. Demonstrated experience working within matrixed/remote teams. Articulate blueprint renderings, translating technical information into clear, concise documentation. Use multiple word processing and presentation tools such as MS Word and Power Point. Must possess and maintain a valid U.S. Passport (Blue Book) with no restrictions on travel. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with the ADDIE training approach. Multimedia instruction development experience. Specifically, Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia and other industry Learning Management Systems Direct experience supporting US military defense program offices. Army or other service branch training experience. Holds an Army Common Faculty Development- Instructor Course (CFD-IC) certification.
