POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible to provide and coordinate resident care to ensure quality care is delivered, as well as provide care team leadership
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assure that residents are treated with kindness and respect
Protect residents from accidents and injuries
Be responsible for the safety of residents in the case of emergency
Serve as ‘go-to' resource person for team members
Participate with orientation and training for care team members
Foster positive work environment and strong support for developing skills with other care team members
Review, update and provide resident care as outlined in resident service plans
Perform rounds with physicians and communicate new orders to staff and family members as required
Assist with schedule coverage needs as necessary
Answer resident call signals, as well as door and safety alarms promptly
Administer/pass medications to residents according to physician orders and policies
Review and process physician orders utilizing eMAR in conjunction with pharmacy support
Assist with resident evaluations
Conduct departmental reviews/audits. Provide results to Director of Resident Care
Assure adequate medication and supply inventory for residents
Observe and report non-emergent resident behavior and condition changes to Director of Resident Care
Complete daily charting, documentation, and reporting as required
Participate in or lead activities as planned by Life Enrichment. Assist and remind residents to participate in activities
Follow and comply with infection control, safety, emergency and confidentiality policies and procedures
Participate in the on-call rotation as assigned
Promote positive relationships with residents, staff and visitors
Remain awake and alert while on duty
Perform any other duties as requested within the scope of responsibility and requirements of the job.

Education and Experience
High school diploma/GED and successful completion of Care Specialist I and II curriculum within 90 days of hire and at least 6 months of recent experience as a Care Specialist or equivalent experience is required.
Certificates and Licenses
Must have CPR/First Aid certification or obtain within thirty (30) days of hire.
Computer Skills
Must have demonstrable knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office in a Windows environment, with a capacity to master company specific software.

Responsible for maintaining and coordinating repairs of the grounds, the building and equipment in a safe and efficient manner within budget in accordance with applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform preventive maintenance to assure the building and its contents remain operable and in good condition
Maintain the electrical, plumbing, safety equipment, HVAC systems, as well as the grounds of the property
Inspect, perform and/or oversee the repair and maintenance of the building's structure, including windows, doors, exterior siding, masonry, and roofing
Coordinate grounds maintenance for lawn care and snow removal. Shovel/salt walkways as needed
Oversee the housekeeping staff to ensure standard of cleanliness
Maintain the condition of all unoccupied rooms including carpet cleaning, painting, patching, etc. to make them attractive for resident occupancy
Perform maintenance and repairs per residents' requests within 24-72 hours
Coordinate larger repairs with contractors and oversee their work to maintain an attractive and safe building, inside and outside
Coordinate trash removal, lawn care, snow removal, pest management contracts
Order supplies within budget guidelines
Ensure fire, safety and sanitation practices and procedures are followed
Facilitate fire, tornado and other disaster drills as necessary to prepare staff and residents for emergencies and to satisfy the requirements of State Regulations
Maintain an emergency kit for the facility
Participate and/or lead training sessions for initial staff orientations and annual in-services pertaining to safety, disaster plans, maintenance, etc.
Recruit, interview and hire maintenance and housekeeping staff
Ensure maintenance and housekeeping staff are trained, educated and in-serviced to maintain compliance with licensing rules and facility requirements
Assist residents and family members with move-ins and move-outs when available
Maintain proper records of repairs, purchases, and other expenditures
Conduct periodic performance evaluations of maintenance staff and give them additional training and education as required
Maintain up-to-date Material Data Sheets (MDS) for all chemicals at the community
Ability to inspire and motivate staff through consistent leadership, supervision, and coaching
Promote positive relationships with residents, staff, visitors, and regulators
Perform any other duties as requested within the scope of responsibility and requirements of the job. This position will be required to assist at sister communities upon request.

QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of engineering experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering or another STEM discipline

Manage all appropriate state regulations and auditing to ensure our community is in compliance.
Obtain written orders for any necessary changes to care plan.
Verification of MARS/TARS and communicate with pharmacy to assure accuracy of medication and treatment administration.
Reviews incident reports submitted by staff members to determine if an assessment/care conference needs to be performed on an existing resident & address any personnel issues which are identified.
Communication of all emergency policies and provision of updated information to staff.
Work toward continual improvement of the overall organization.
Available to work a flexible schedule including on call, weekends, and holidays when necessary.

General Working Conditions:
This position entails standing for long periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively with others, sit, stand, walk and use hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Occasional travel to different locations may be required.

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for providing comfort, safety and general supervision to residents by assisting them with activities of daily living, administering medications and tending to their individual care needs, while learning their unique preferences and personalities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Administer medications to residents according to physician orders and document completion
Review eMAR each shift to ensure timely administration of medications and treatments
Review incoming medication physician orders for accuracy. Update eMAR accordingly
Partner with residents to provide needed/requested assistance with activities of daily living as outlined in the residents service plans
Answer resident call lights, as well as door and safety alarms promptly
Observe and report resident behavior and condition changes to Care Coordinator and Director of Resident Care
Order/re-order medications to ensure adequate supply is available
Complete daily charting, documentation, and reporting as required
Obtain resident weights and vitals
Participate in training new employees as requested
Clean and disinfect resident rooms, work areas and common spaces according to cleaning schedule
Clean and disinfect spills and soiled areas as needed or directed
Assist with meal set up and clean up as needed or requested
Participate in or lead activities as planned by Life Enrichment. Assist and remind residents to participate in activities
Promote positive relationships with residents, staff and visitors
Remain awake and alert while on shift
Perform any other duties as requested within the scope of responsibility and requirements of the job

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education and Experience
High school diploma/GED is required.
Certificates and Licenses
Must have CPR/First Aid certification or obtain within thirty (30) days of hire.
Computer Skills
Must have demonstrable knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office in a Windows environment, with a capacity to master company specific software.
