POSITION SUMMARY
Driver operates a truck that transports solid waste to and from specified destinations. Size of truck is more than 5 tons.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Operates a residential recycling/solid waste collection truck and ancillary equipment on assigned routes to service customers while providing excellent customer service
Drives the vehicle from the right side when collecting house-to-house using a joystick to control arm and lifting mechanism to grab the collection cart and mechanically raise and dump into the hopper of the Side Loader
Uses extra care when near mailboxes, water meters, landscaping, electrical lines, trees, or any other obstructions
Prepares, receives, and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery and pickup of containers to ensure timely service
Loads, secures and unloads truck and follows all safety procedures at landfills and transfer stations
Maintains radio or telephone communications with dispatcher and supervisor to receive instructions or notice of changes concerning deliveries or pickups
Maintains route sheets, vehicle inspection records, and follows all federal and state DOT regulations
Delivers solid waste/recyclable to designated disposal/recycling facility
Loads solid waste, yard waste, and/or recyclables into the rear or side of waste collection vehicle
Operates equipment to compact waste into the vehicle
Operates truck and equipment using prescribed techniques to eliminate Driver induced mechanical failures
Completes pre-trip - post trip inspections and reports daily
Communicates vehicle mechanical problems immediately
Maintains route quality safety and service standards
Maintains clean vehicle interior and exterior
Identify and tag prohibited waste items and remove
Responsible for completing daily pre & post trip inspections.
Complies with all mandatory safety meetings & briefings, operational standards & policies, and maintains a valid Texas CDL and DOT medical card
Reports all safety and service incidents to the Supervisor immediately
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
At least 3 years of satisfactory driving experience of Class A or B vehicles preferred
Excellent communication skills and ability to deal professionally with customers, dispatchers, mechanics and other drivers
Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations

Electronics Technician
$15 per hour job in Lackland Air Force Base, TX
Electronic Technician will support the Force Protection (FP) Products Section (AFLCMC/HNCBW).
Job Responsibilities:
Perform electronic technician duties, utilizing a broad knowledge of electronic equipment principles, techniques, and a thorough knowledge of digital and analog circuitry
Provide component diagnostics, repairs, testing, functional check out and failure analysis on program equipment
Provide for bench stock management for all bench stock type items needed for component repair
Troubleshoot/repair Force Protection equipment to the component level
Recommend condemnation decisions on unserviceable equipment as required
Bench test/perform operational assessments of Force Protection equipment before returning to serviceable stock
Provide input to configuration control documents as requested by system engineers or PMs
Provide suggested changes to engineering drawings
Provide suggested changes to field/depot level technical orders
Provide recommendations for component form/fit/function changes to systems
Travel to sites to provide assistance or make depot-level repairs
Provide life-cycle logistics advice to the customer
Required Skills and Experience:
4 years of experience as an electronics technician
