What Drives Success
Under limited direction, responsible for developing and maintaining a demand (sales) forecast for finished goods and/or parts & supplies to drive financial and inventory decisions. May also guide other demand planners on more complex tasks.
* Articulates advanced forecasting, economic knowledge and statistical expertise in preparing a sales forecast in units and dollars, and has sole ownership and accountability for creating short term and long term demand plans to support a multi-billion dollar business unit.
* Develops the demand consensus forecast for complex and highly visible finished goods and/or parts & supplies, utilizing the statistical forecast as the baseline and incorporating new business, promotions, external market factors, and new product introductions.
* Works with sales, marketing, finance, and product management to gather the necessary information and drive forecasting accountability throughout the organization.
* Determines the best metrics to use to identify and address forecast issues.
* Develops new and innovative methods of analyzing data and determines which methods to apply.
* Develops proactive strategies to anticipate and mitigate issues and risks with respect to forecasting.
* Responsible for the configuration, parameters, and key figures in the Demand Planning system and recommends & implements improvements to the process.
* Identifies demand planning system and process improvements.
* Fine-tunes forecast model parameters and relevant hierarchies.
* Ensures the quality of the team's forecast and assists in consolidating and aggregating data for team analysis.
* May provide direction and training to less experienced team members.
What We Are Looking For
* Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in Supply Chain/Logistics Management or Business Administration.
* Master's Degree preferred. Requires at least 5 years of Supply Chain experience, with at least 2 years of Demand Planning.
* Requires a broad understanding of statistical methodologies, strong abilities in forecasting and maintaining demand planning systems, and strong skills with SAP/APO or another advanced planning system.
* Broad knowledge of Supply Chain Management and working in a consensus, Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) environment.
* Good understanding of best practices in demand planning.
* Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and training skills.
* Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced, high volume environment.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and solid Customer Relations skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
What We Offer
Compensation: This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $83,200 to $109,200 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company's applicable plan. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.

What will be your role?
Under the supervision of the Sales Director and in close collaboration with the Regional Sales Manager (RSM), System Integrators, and Distributors, the Specification Sales Manager (SSM) - Texas will be responsible for driving specification growth for Distech Controls across the Texas market.
This role is heavily focused on consulting engineers and end users, with the objective of increasing market awareness and ensuring Distech Controls is specified in construction and retrofit projects throughout Texas. * Maintain good housekeeping within all departments and assigned PITs

Job Description
AZZ has an opportunity for a Plant Manager at our Hurst facility. Reporting to the Regional Director of Operations, this role is responsible for, but not limited to, directing and managing all plant operations with overall responsibility for production, maintenance, quality, and personnel. You are a strong leader with a track record of effectively managing, mentoring, and developing leaders. You are experienced in developing and implementing business strategies and can deliver outstanding service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Directs and manages plant operations for production, maintenance, quality, shipping and receiving and all personnel activities.
* Develops and controls profits/loss, business plans and budget restrictions.
* Implements cost effective systems for control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages, and salaries.
* Establishes and monitors overall plant performance for production and quality standards while maintaining strict process controls.
* Maintains existing plant facilities and equipment. Replaces or adjusts plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
* Provides leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
* Implements and maintains preventative maintenance programs.
* Maintains and enforces OSHA and other safety regulations.
* Recommends or implements measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality or efficiency.
* Recommends personnel action including, but not limited to, annual evaluations, promotions, hiring and firing.
* Responsible for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Serves as the primary direct report for all facility personnel.
Qualifications
* 3 - 5 years of management experience required
* Experience in steel fabrication, metal coatings, or hot dip galvanizing preferred
* Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, i.e., Excel, Outlook, and Word
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to effectively handle and manage confidential and sensitive information
* Knowledge of safety and OSHA rules and regulations required

* Creates standard machining programs using I.G.F Software. Proves out and edits programs.
* Sets ups, adjusts, and operates a variety of conventional and/CNC lathes/mills to perform the most diversified and difficult production operations on work having close and exact tolerances, several dimensional relationships, unusual contours, dimensional and finish requirements.
* Interprets customer requirements from blueprints, complex drawings, engineering specifications, quality directives, charts, tables, sketches, and verbal instructions.
* Interfaces with engineering to resolve drawing errors, suggest design changes, and solve product/process problems.
* Implements manufacturing methods using standard production machines, materials, and tooling. May advise and assist with tooling design.
* Makes complex setups, which may include multiple work piece stations, utilizing custom and standard holding devices.
* Develops and defines processes with limited documentation, as required.
* Trouble shoots and resolves machining problems.
* Responsible for machining and checking parts to maintain a high level of quality and efficiency.
* Inspects finished parts for conformance to specifications by visual examination, and utilizes precision measuring instruments such as gages, calipers, micrometers, comparators, and surface plate techniques. May be required to use coordinate measuring machine (CMM). Ensures equipment is calibrated in accordance with schedule.
* Routinely maintains equipment to ensure cleanliness, accuracy, and reliability specific to division requirements.
* Accurately and regularly performs statistical process control (SPC) specific to division requirements.
* Uses advanced shop mathematics, which may include trigonometry, and general knowledge of metal characteristics and other processing requirements.
* Trains and mentors less experienced team members.

* Actively contributes to lean/continuous initiatives by identifying and providing suggestions on areas for improvement. Effectively applies lean concepts and tools in work areas.
* Provides guidance or assistance in coordinating workload priorities to make appropriate accommodations based on business demand.
* Maintains a satisfactory high level of performance while following appropriate procedures and observing all pertinent safety rules and requirements
* Maintains appropriate knowledge and ability levels to efficiently perform all assigned work and utilizes this knowledge base to become proficient on new/unfamiliar assignments
* Observes all company policies and procedures, including safety rules, and maintains a clean and orderly work area.

Qualifications (relevant experience, education and training):
* Requires High School Diploma or equivalent and five or more years related machining experience in a high technology manufacturing environment. Able to work with minimum supervisory guidance in a team environment.
* Able to set up and run a minimum of five CNC machine types.
* Handles multiple tasks with changing priorities to meet customer needs.
* May require specialized certification specific to division requirements (i.e. certified operator).
* Reads, understands, and follows blueprints, complex drawings, engineering specifications, and informal written or verbal instructions.
* Able to make and evaluate precision machine set ups on a minimum of five CNC machine types.
* Has working knowledge of advanced shop mathematics, may include trigonometry.
* Able to implement lean/continuous improvement initiatives.
* Must be able to read and understand written and verbal instructions, procedures, drawings and blueprints.
* Demonstrates effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a team environment on research and solution development.
* Possesses effective mentoring and training skills and ability to serve as a resource to other team members.
