Description and Requirements
Lenovo is seeking a highly motivated intern to contribute to the design, development, and exploration of our next-generation AI systems. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects across the AI stack - from foundational models to intelligent applications - depending on project needs and your own interests. Responsibilities:
* AI Systems Development: Assist in the design, implementation, and testing of AI-driven systems and tools.
* Agent and Workflow Design: Support development of intelligent agents and task automation pipelines, including prompt engineering and context management.
* Model Training & Fine-Tuning: Contribute to the training or fine-tuning of models such as Large Language Models (LLMs) and multimodal models (e.g., vision, text, and speech).
* On-Device Performance Optimization: Help evaluate and optimize model performance on phones, tablets, and PCs, focusing on efficiency, latency, and power usage to get the most out of device hardware.
* Knowledge Management: Explore technologies like vector databases, knowledge graphs, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) to enhance model performance.
* Evaluation & Analysis: Help evaluate AI models for performance, accuracy, robustness, and fairness.

Qualifications:
* Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.
* Strong interest in AI, machine learning, and intelligent systems.
* Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, Java, or Kotlin.
* Familiarity with operating systems such as Linux, Windows, or Android
* Basic understanding of Machine Learning and Deep Learning principles.
* Exposure to AI frameworks such as PyTorch, Transformers, LangGraph, or Autogen.

**Key Responsibilities**
NPI Test Bay Setup and Preventative Maintenance
Sets up test bay fixtures and required facilities to test chambers. Installs correct software versions in test bay (after consulting ME) before chamber moves into test. Check HX/Chiller fill levels, PCW flow, communication cable functionality, MOXA addresses, and process kit audits. Lead the procurement and maintenance of test equipment.
New Product Test Ticket Management
Manage test tickets for new products on both the NPI and volume manufacturing lines, including troubleshooting, working with NPI and NPT Manufacturing Engineers, and documenting the resolution.
Test Cable Assembly
Assembles new test cables and jumpers for chambers, gen racks, and peripheral equipment.
Supporting Manufacturing Engineers
Assist MEs in carrying out projects to upgrade, deploy, repair, and correct test bays and fixtures. Document and provide important feedback to eliminate future test issues.
Rework
Able to assist with rework activity, such as mechanical repair, related to DMRs or part number changes.

**Key Responsibilities**
Performs routine to moderately complex electro-mechanical technical functions and activities such as design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, troubleshooting and assembly of electronics and electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype models, specialized test equipment, tools and test fixtures.
May test and troubleshoot system level and component level problems in electrical and mechanical systems and sub-systems. May perform new system and NPI installations and field upgrades.
Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or plans to perform routine testing and troubleshooting.
Compiles logbooks and test procedures documentation utilizing good writing skills.
May perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic & vacuum and process testing on AMAT platforms to Engineering and Manufacturing documentation and specifications.
Observes all safety standards. Maintains a secure, safe, clean and healthy work environment. Attends required health and safety training and follows safety and security policies, procedures and practices. Promptly reports accidents, injuries, safety hazards, or emergencies to supervisor or Safety dept. Follows operating instructions, uses protective equipment when required, and uses equipment and materials properly. Actively strives to prevent accidents and injuries.

**Other Requirements:** This is a physically demanding position that often requires standing for extended periods of time, walking, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, the ability to distinguish between colors, the ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise, the use of hand and power tools, and driving or operating heavy machinery including forklifts.

About the Role:
As a Test Engineer Intern, you'll support the development and implementation of testing methodologies for advanced semiconductor products. You'll work alongside experienced engineers to help ensure product quality and reliability across various stages of development and manufacturing.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Assisting test engineers in schematic design, debugging test hardware
* Software development to support product qualification, customer sampling, characterization and full production release
* Supporting schematic design and circuit documentation
* Contributing to the creation of test documentation and reports
* Simulating test circuits using LTSpice
* Collecting and interpreting data from testers to support analysis and troubleshooting, and processing and analyzing test data using Excel
* Entails collaboration with Design, Product Engineering, Test Engineering, and Project Managers across ADI global sites.
Minimum Requirements
* Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field (e.g., Electronics Engineering)
* Entering Junior year or later
* Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles, electronics, circuit analysis, and use of bench measurement equipment
* Familiarity with tools like LTSpice, Cadence Allegro are a plus, but not required
