Within our Tracy, CA manufacturing facility, we are seeking a highly qualified Maintenance Controls/PLC System Supervisor on our Plant technical team to continue moving our organization to even larger levels of maintenance, controls optimization, and production efficiencies. At Leprino Foods, starting compensation for this role typically ranges between $100,000-$120,000. This position has an annual target bonus of 10%.
Responsibilities:
The Industrial/Maintenance Controls System Supervisor provides guidance and direction to a team of employees in the Maintenance Controls department. Makes strategic and sound decisions pertaining to industrial controls, department safety, and department efficiency for team. Monitors controls systems of the plant related to production processes and overall plant facilities, and develops plans to provide preventative modifications to maximize equipment uptime, plant efficiencies, product quality, safety, and cost control. Builds an effective employee team by engaging, mentoring, and developing direct reports.
Plans and schedules daily staffing needs to maximize labor efficiency and ensure maintenance controls needs are met.
Leads and coaches team employees by implementing programs in technical training, safety, quality, communications, performance recognition and internal employee development to drive peak employee engagement and productivity.
Builds and fosters strong working relationships, collaboration within their team, and a positive work environment.
Engages, mentors, and develops direct reports.
Supervises the daily shift activities to minimize production downtime related to controls systems, work orders, and planned controls upgrades or modifications.
Prioritizes controls programming needs to minimize production downtime, while assuring safety and quality.
Must be knowledgeable of all plant processes and the equipment involved in order to best trouble-shoot and solve maintenance problems, primarily in the controls / PLC area.
Provide guidance and direction to a team of employees in the Maintenance Controls department.
Make strategic and sound decisions pertaining to industrial controls, department safety, and department efficiency for team.
Monitor controls systems of the plant related to production processes, overall plant facilities and develops plans to provide preventative modifications to maximize equipment uptime, plant efficiencies, product quality, safety, and cost control.
Assist with achieving departmental objectives and company goals in relation Controls department.
Perform preventative maintenance on the defined devices/equipment with the intent to optimize equipment reliability.
Lead troubleshooting of production problems on a timely basis until successful resolution, including major and minor maintenance of automated and non-automated equipment.
Monitor and replace automation hardware devices and electrical equipment as needed.
Manage, develop, and execute training to all levels of employees.
Support a continuous 24/7 manufacturing operation.
You Have at Least (Required Qualifications):
Associates Degree in Controls Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a similar maintenance subject area.
Five years of industrial controls experience although applicable education may substitute experience.
Familiarity with SAP, Maximo, or other manufacturing computer systems.

Experience reading & understanding Allen Bradley/Wonderware, ladder logic and P&ID loops.
Experience in PLC/SLC development and programming.

What you'll be doing:
Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine corrective action by checking blueprints, schematics, repair manuals and parts catalogs.
Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.

Manage and assign all equipment maintenance, including repairs which cannot be completed during standard hours.
Assume responsibility for all shifts in the maintenance department.
Oversee and implement all maintenance related regulatory and environmental compliance requirements.
Assume responsibility for all aspects of safety within the maintenance department.
Perform Confined Space and Lockout / Tagout procedures where appropriate.
Monitor training status of technicians and provide time for required training as needed.
Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
Partner with the Production Manager to develop, manage and maintain budget for building, equipment, capital expenditures and parts/labor.
Train and develop maintenance partners.

Qualifications
What we're looking for:
High school and/or GED is preferred.
Two-year technical degree in an appropriate background is preferred.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Valid driver's license and a safe driving record are required.
Must pass UniFirst's maintenance knowledge assessment to be eligible for employment.
Knowledgeable in maintenance equipment. This includes wiring, electrical, mechanical, electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing required.
Minimum of 3 years of work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment required. Applicable military experience will be considered.
Minimum of 2 years of experience supervising maintenance personnel is preferred.
Maintenance administration experience including planning, scheduling, budgeting, negotiating, parts management, vendor management, maintenance management systems is required.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics is required.
Ability to read and understand maintenance literature printed in English required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills is required.

Duties and Responsibilities:
· Guide the facility to reduce technical stoppages in equipment or areas of common occurrence (priority given to areas of highest incidence or impact). Ensure the systematic review of all line, processes, and utilities that are critical to the business and those where failure can have an unacceptable impact on safety, personnel safety, food safety, environment, or compliance with the law.
· Monitor plant/equipment trends to ensure best possible operation and reduction of planned/unplanned downtime.
· Propose and monitor key performance indicators in accordance with the Best Maintenance Practices.
· Facilitate the evolution/refinement of Maintenance activities to minimize planned and unplanned downtime (PM's, changeovers, etc.).
· Supervisory Responsibilities
· Ensure the implementation of all repairs/modifications resulting from Gap assessments, plant audits, and notifications are executed on time and offer a high-quality workmanship.

· Ensure that the equipment history, damage code and root cause analysis are completed correctly.

· Consolidate and analyze the factory M&R budgets, drive value-added and sustainable improvements.
· Manage the Maintenance Parts store, scheduled Work Orders, labor hour allocation and the equipment Bill of Material (BOM).
· Support and back-fill the roll-out and sustainability of TPM-PM Pillar across all of Eddy Packing's Departments.
· Assures compliance with government regulatory agencies.

Job Summary: The Maintenance Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and controlling all maintenance and reliability-related activities that support production, warehousing, quality, sanitation, building maintenance, and plant design and layout activities. Primary Responsibilities:
* Manages the reliability workforce, develops succession plans, skills assessments and training.
* Assures safe operation of ammonia refrigeration systems and equipment.
* Assures safe operation of boiler systems and equipment.
* Ensures compliance of air, water, sewage, or other form of pollutants per standards set by Federal, State, and Local governments.
* Supervise and direct maintenance staff on safe operations and enforce LOTO, Food Defense, Food Safety & Food Quality Plans, GMPs, HACCP Program.
* Coordinate the maintenance department's use of the TPM root cause analysis tools to effectively identify the root causes of breakdowns and putting in preventative measures to keep those same breakdowns from happening again.
* Lead maintenance department in equipment trouble-shooting through root cause analysis on complex machinery and lead/develop maintenance technicians to own the process. Typical equipment includes processing (equipment for condensed and sweet condensed milk production), primary packaging (equipment includes seamers and filling equipment), and secondary packaging (equipment includes labelers, tray and case formers, case packers, palletizers, stretch wrappers and conveyors).
* Identify, track and report on all relevant maintenance department KPIs.

Job Summary:
PTC is seeking a Maintenance Manager with the primary responsibility for planning, directing, coordinating, and managing the maintenance department of a production facility. Keeps the Department Supervisor informed of any issues pertaining to quality and effectively recommends action to resolve or remedy such issues.
Coordinates with other supervisors to manage manpower and cover open jobs created by vacations or report-offs.
Counsels and disciplines as required in accordance with Company policies.
Develops and trains all personnel within the area of responsibility.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in Maintenance
Must have supervisory experience of maintenance staff
Must have experience in steel or related industries
Must have excellent electrical and mechanical trouble shooting skills and experience
Preferred Experience:
Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP System(s)

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Other Skills and Abilities: Must be computer literate and able to work with programs such as Word, Excel, etc., and be able to learn and use programs such as e-mail, ERP system, etc.
Must have good problem solving and decision making skills
Must be able to communicate to all levels of the organization
Must be able to succeed and contribute in a team environment.
Must have knowledge of a metals factory and its environments
Must have good computer skills in Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
