Pros of working at Lewer

The company offers exceptional insurance benefits, ensuring peace of mind for employees. Moreover, the vibrant work culture fosters a supportive and engaging environment, enhancing the overall employee experience.

Cons of working at Lewer

While the company emphasizes a culture of growth and internal promotion, the reality falls short. Despite promoting a 'right person, right seat' approach, they consistently hire overqualified candidates for customer service roles, undermining opportunities for advancement. Many employees remain in the same position for over a decade, contradicting claims of internal progression. Moreover, the low wages offered make it difficult for employees to afford basic living expenses, resulting in a reliance on parental support or roommates. Redirecting resources from amenities like stocked break room fridges and investing in remote work options could alleviate financial strain and enable employees to achieve greater independence. 40k a year is not a livable wage when annual revenue is over 8 million. If companies in similar size making less annually like Chani can pay their employees a livable wage. So can the Lewer Company.

What do you like best about Lewer's CEO and the leadership team?

The CEO is nice. He is always in the office so it is nice to see him casually in the break room or out around the office.

How would you improve Lewer's culture?

I would improve the company culture by having a better HR staff. The senior HR manager Sue is amazing. She is very approachable and is excellent at her job. However, Christy is horrible. She cancels meetings last minute and it is very obvious she does not care about the culture of the company. I have heard from multiple people in the office that when they do have their monthly meetings with her she only talks about herself.

How did you prepare for the Lewer interview?

I did not have to do much. The interview process was really quick maybe 2 weeks and then I received an offer. I did like how I was able to meet with the CEO for coffee. I thought that was awesome. However, that was the only time I’ve ever spoken with him. We have not spoken since I’ve been hired.

How does your compensation at Lewer compare to the industry average?

The compensation is horrible. I could get paid more as a waiter. I am making 40k a year. Not a livable wage at all.

What's the diversity at Lewer like?

Little to no diversity.

What brings you the most joy at Lewer?
